Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
Just had to go to four gas stations to find one with fuel. Topped of the truck and filled one more 5gal can for the generator. Should be able to run the gen for at least 2-3 days with my fuel supply before I need to syphon the truck or car. Never hurts to be prepared, especially with my areas electricity reliability.

Since you'll have an instructor it would be best to do both. They'll reserve spots for people doing both days first, so you would get put on the back burner trying to only do one. Technically you can do one, but you'd have to contact the registrar.
So cool!
Congrats!
Congrats!
Its nice to brush those little hondas off my shoulder like flys now...my prelude used to get waay to much honda attention..being a little honda guy myself lol
It's because we are expecting extended power outages. Now power means no pumps working at the stations to get gas for your generator. I'm not worried abou driving anywhere.
Tim, out of the two I love thunderbolt. Maybe it's just the experiences I've had but thunderbolt is a ton of fun and would be a good track day. Do both days. It seems like a lot if you've never done it before but it gives you plenty of time and chances to digest what you learned.
All you guys doing that event has me seriously tempted! I think I'm going to run it too. Too bad I won't have my master instructor with me.
Edit: I am perfectly qualified to give the above advice with being a noob.
My favorite parts of thunderbolt is the chicane, turns 4 and 5 and the octopus.

Tim, I'm a noob and have five days on the same pads. I have maybe 30-40% life left on the fronts. More on the rears. Also I don't believe I ***** foot the brakes either since Marc taught me threshold braking.
Your tires are brand new iirc so that isn't anything you need to worry about. You'll need fresh brake fluid in use though. That's about it.
I can't comment on gas consumption given my situation but most of the guys that are on pump usually go fill up before the event, at lunch and after (you wouldn't have to the morning of the second day if you fill up after the event obviously).
Noobs advising noobs FTW!!!!!!

I was more concerned how much consumables I was going to go through. On average will a set of pads last 2 days? I figured 3-4 tanks of gas is that about right? Damn me being a noob and not knowing ish. You should do it, it seems like a lot of people are in
I ran into the same problem last night. I ended up having to get gas at Bj's. People were going crazy.
I would prefer doing 2 days just have to see if i can get off of work.
www.phillyscca.com is a good place to find the info. You will most likely see something in here about it too, but phillyscca has some good information if this is your first time. I remember seeing your car, I live right off norristown.
