video of some laps at Pocono double infield CW. holly bumpy course. they were saying at the drivers meeting that people have broken suspension and drive shafts from the bumps. they are shutting down the track after this month to repave the whole track and wont open back up till middle of next year. hopefully they'll repave the infield also and not just the oval. this was my first time running the double infield configuration. i still like running just the North course the most, it's the least bumpy. my best time of the day was 1:41.91. i also had brake fade for the first time with Hawk DTC70, at the braking zone coming onto the south course.

Are they running the double infield configuration. Set your shocks to full soft. Lol
I should get a huge discount on those ohlins after you run that course.

I was able to reduce brake fade by down shifting to 3rd to use more engine braking. Good thing there were plenty of track to run off where the brake faded.

The infield looks way worse than the oval unless it's just the video

I just got an email from BMW CCA:

"We are sorry to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control, our Pocono High Performance Driving School (October 8-9, 2011) has been cancelled.* The track just informed us that they will be repaving the track on our weekend!"

^ Got that one too

I emailed a couple of my Porsche buddies that are going to Pocono too. Frankly, if they're not worried, I am not worried. Their axles probably cost more to replace than my car. I already know I won't be driving my first event with this car @ 10/10ths, so this will give me a good excuse not to have to feel like I need to nguyen the HPDE.

Dude, that sucks. Looks like the backend just came around under braking?
