nevermind. i see them now. we changed some microsoft security settings this week at work and I can't see pop-up's anymore in my browser. Its pretty stupid. we have to have these elaborate passwords that change every 7 days and they have to be 9 characters long with a capital letter, number and something else. its stuipd. not like we have national secrets here or anything.

 

Oh I feel you pain with the multiple passwords. We have the same thing here, since we work with such "highly sensitive" material. To get on my laptop require 2 passwords, and the use of a log-on token. Can't even power up the laptop without said token. Email is another password. All pw are at least 8 characters, using a mix of a number, capitalization, and 1 special character. Every damn site has a lon-on ID and password, even for time keeping. These passwords must be changed every month, and the system remembers it, so I can't even go back to an old one! Even the thumb drives are enkypted and password protected. So I cant' even share thumbdrives with a co-worker who has access to the same information.

there is also a restriction on how many times you can use the same password. it has to be at least 24 passwords ago before you can recycle one. that is crazy! we really have nothing here of any importance, unless people are curious about how to lose money in construction management...
