That looks like it could have been a lot worse. Seems like the driver got the car off track just as he noticed the wobbling.

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the color... Never really believed that stuff to be true, eventhough I'm fully aware of what heating metal does to its grain structure (as we do that all the time here at work). I can't see coating it once hurting it, multiple times, yeah that could def do it. Maybe I'll leave mine silver...

Some "metal expert" is saying once is fine, but repeated baking in those temps can be detrimental.

Lightning is so easy to learn (maybe not the correct line, but the actual track itself), you'll pick it up in a matter of 2 or 3 laps. Which event are you gonna do again, Tim?

Did you already register? You should do the PCA event on 10/21-22 instead, just sayin'. Thunderbolt is way more fun, IMO.

I think it would be cool if a couple of you guys came out for this event. Chu, I think you plan on attending, correct? RCJ, its time your pop your cherry, James you too!

Maybe for the learned driver such as yourself!

As for the SSR wheels, they do have a good reputation, so seeing this happen is alittle disturbing. Chau recently bought a set fo SSR Type C's for his 240sx...forged and very lightweight. I hear a lot about the heat from powdercoating affect the structural integrity of the wheels, but I also think its because some places are using a really hot oven to quicken the process. I have heard of low-temp powderocating, and the ability to do plastic parts now. Regardless, I want my wheels to be a new color! Silver is just plain boring!

I don't think tracks get more simple than Lightning, unless you want to run an oval. Notice I said say you may not learn or know the best line, but as far as the track layout itself, its pretty easy. What is it, 12 turns, couple of them basically perceived straights anyways...?

Feel free to argue your point, I love playing the devils advocate! I aced my debate classes in college, just sayin'.
