boost leaks are hard to feel and even harder to see, unless you have a pipe hanging off.
you can try switching the coils from cyl 1 and 3 and see if the cold cyllinder moves or stays.

okay, switched packs up, only firing cylinder now is cylinder four. I'm sure the engine will not turn over for even 15 seconds... i cant get her to hold. i smell gasoline in the oil... i'm really worried now, the next logical step for me is compression test.
let me know if you guys have any other ideas. i have a half battery and she doesn't want to hold on for much longer i'm sure.
could it potentially be the injectors? or maybe the plugs got fouled enough that three would crap out?

so there all reading 80 to 90, with the 3rd cylinder reading 75, but with low battery. the second and third cylinder had the lowest, with the first and fourth at 90. seems a little low but i figure it's because i have a half battery. plus the engine is cold.
does this seem like there may be a problem with the 2nd and 3rd cylinders? each time they read consistently, first time i checked third i had 80 and the last time 75
the 1st and fourth consistently read 90, until i checked the first a second time i got 85 it definitely seems like i'm getting better compression in 1st and fourth consistently even with the battery falling off. is this enough difference to indicate possibly a bent piston rod caused by hydro lock? i have stock internals so I imagine if that happened it would have broke completely. I'm really pretty sure i didn't encounter enough water to lock it though. i revved up to like 6k after and then it started sputtering.
where can i find crank and cam sensors on a sunday? would advance auto or autozone or pepboys carry them?

You can't just throw parts at it. These cars are not like a civic if it won't start put a distributor in it and your good these cars are complex to a point. The condition you are describing seems like a big boost leak. Just because you can not see it or feel it does not meen its not there. I blew my licp off before and its doing the same thing your car is doing. I would do a boost leak check like people have said and start ruling things out not just changing parts. How do your plugs look? After you have ruled out or fixed your boost leak then start looking in to ignition. If you do not feel comfortable there is a lot of reputable shops in the area you can take your car too
plugs are black, it's been rich since i got it. I have no compressor at the moment so I can't really do a boost leak test. would a boost leak cause the engine to not start at all? i can't get it to turn over anymore. I'm gonna look over again and see if i can't find something obvious.
just checked again, i switched number 3 plug with number 4, and now number three seems to be getting hot. i'm gonna pick up new plugs and grab my compressor.
I have an oversized oil filter... I want to change the oil as well as i'm getting a gasoline smell in my oil. does anyone have any idea what size it would be?

did boost leak, it will hold 25 psi, with no audible hiss it's been at 25 for about 10 minutes now with little or no falling. i'm leaning towards a cps failure, as the ignition seems to be fine.
my compression is a little low but I'm hoping that's just because the battery is nearly dead.

Hey I wanted to ask Dek, Honda-Guy, and Mr. MR and everyone else who is in the AutoX and drag community who sets up the events two questions. 1) Do you guys set up any road course tracks in the area? and 2) Not sure if this is usually a Evo only thing, but curious if you would let a GT-R in on the fun? Thanks guys!

I said I would want someone to layout initial purchase, then when I sold my stuff I would pay back my half. So for instance if car costs $15000, I would pay my half of $7500 a few months after purchase (once I sold my car and truck).
Why would somebody want to do this, it would address the storage and transport of said racecar..
On top of that you would get to hangout with me at events, which in itself is worth the price of admission.
Just to make sure we were on same page we could get a legal document together stating terms of car ownership between both parties, everything would be spelled out.
