Suspension can be changed mang! Look at that cage in the car, it looks proper. The seat (Racetech ) with Hans and I would be ready to get busy on the track. To me this car with some minor work is track car done right.

Sometimes I wonder too!! I am talking about splitting a track car with someone. Problem on my end is I need to sell some **** prior to me purchasing. If someone wanted to partner, we could make it into a proper track car. I can store vehicle and transport (even after sale of my truck). So someone needs to fork over $15000, I will arrange transport and storage. Also transport to all events. All expenses are split 50-50 for car. I would type up a contract that could be signed and notarized or something (to make legal) so there is no confusion on arrangement. This was my idea this morning as I sit and drink my coffee.

So mike, you want someone to buy you a car and you'll chip in by storing it, transporting it and driving it at the track?

Hold on! Let me grab my checkbook!

For a guy with such high grammar skillz you have low reading comprehension.

I said I would want someone to layout initial purchase, then when I sold my stuff I would pay back my half. So for instance if car costs $15000, I would pay my half of $7500 a few months after purchase (once I sold my car and truck).

Why would somebody want to do this, it would address the storage and transport of said racecar..

On top of that you would get to hangout with me at events, which in itself is worth the price of admission.

Just to make sure we were on same page we could get a legal document together stating terms of car ownership between both parties, everything would be spelled out.

You still think its not a worthy idea for someone wanted to get a track car?

It's a good idea but I would need the part about you hanging out with me at each event being worth the price of admission in the contract and in bold print and initialed and notarized separately.

hey guys, quick question... I ran through a puddle it must've been pretty deep cause the whole passenger side of my car up to the vent got sprayed, after my engine stumbled and wanted to die, i could keep it going by feathering the gas but the idle would sputter and fall off. I know we run companion cylinders i don't know what that would feel like but I get a strong gasoline smell so i'm either running way way way too rich to the point that i'm flooding my engine or one or more of my cylinders aren't firing. the engine is only trowing po300 which it has been since i got it. I have cams bbk turbo and bbk fmic... also noticed that the intercooler piping was blowing air at a relatively low rate but at idle, I'm thinking that may be causing some kind of vacuum leak that could cause the engine to run so rough. I can only get to maybe 15 mph and neutral i can only pull maybe 4k at 1/8 throttle before it bogs and and sometimes cuts out.

^ do a boost leak test, and check all your IC pipes and vac lines.

I do have a pretty nasty leak on my lower intercooler piping on the drivers side. But I don't think it could have happened last night... It's on the opposite side from the puddle and I hadn't hit anything. But I hope its that simple would something like that cause my car to barely run. I can't even reach 15 mph. But I can feel and hear air escaping the piping even at idle

you have some issues there for sure. maybe you sucked up some water in that leaking LICP when you drove thru the puddle. Either way you NEED to do a boost leak test if you want to start to diagnose your car.

If you aren't up to the challange there lot of shops in the area that can easily take care of it for you.

update, i went out this morning and started the car. it ran for about thirty seconds so i went with my hand around all turbo piping to see if i could locate the leak in a half assed way... paying extra attention to that particular section of ic piping... i noticed that i got the same breath of air, as soon as the fan turned on. as the engine sputtered out and the fan was still running i was getting the same. However after inspecting all visible vac lines and electrical connections, i decided to tap the turbo manifold. cylinder 1, or the closest cylinder to the cam gears was ice cold getting progressively warmer per cylinder to cylinder four which was fairly hot... touchably hot after about 30 seconds of rough idle through the high idle circuit. it couldnt keep up 2k, it stumbled at and around 1300. I'm leaning towards a spark issue. so I have it narrowed down to...

possibly fuel possibly air, most likely spark.
which i don't consider too bad for about 45 seconds of diagnosis.

I will do a boost leak test, I have no compressor at the moment though. though I'm educatedly hoping, it is not cause now that it's light out I don't see a hole, or crack which i though i felt last night.

anybody near the kop area that would like to let me try there coil packs? i was thinking i could use a timing light to see which plugs arent firing if that is indeed the culprit. but monies too tight to just throw 1000 bucks at something that may not be the solution.
