I want to do the chopped 8 bumper. Carson's looks great. It's another mod I want to do but probably won't. I'm not a fan of the stock front or usdm rear.

Working on a saturday huh? I have off all weekend thankfully, I'll most likely have to work a day next weekend though.

I pasted The Collection a bunch of times when I was down there in July, they have a bunch of sick cars in the showroom right along the road.

 

It's official. The 2.4L is ****ed and I'm yanking it. It looks like the bearings didn't survive the mixing of coolant and oil. The damage is very minor but it's enough that I would need to yank the crankshaft out and have it polished if not reground or replaced. I have no desire to go through this again so I'm putting the 2.0 back in. The wife was more than patient but she's getting pissed which I can understand. I think I will keep the 4G64 block, and look at rebuilding it with a crower crank for the future. The rods and pistons look good but I want to sell them anyway to recoup at least some of the expense. That was a lot of money to essentially **** away for 40 miles of driving. I'm angry but relieved that I can put a known motor in and feel safe about it. I bought weight matched drop in pistons and rods a few months ago so everything will be forged at least.

 

Maybe we should all go for fun!!! Either way, Dan doesn't have a chance. That FAT PIG called an Evo X needs atleast another 100hp to keep up with this weak sauce

The cometic head gasket I had blew immediately. I drove it for 2 miles on the test run, boosted to 5 psi and made it home. I was idling it in the driveway when I noticed coolant was pushing. It mixed in the oil. I did 5 oil changes driving a few miles inbetween trying to get it all out but I guess the damage was already done. Its lightly scored but not bad. I just don't feel like taking a chance with it again. I really need my car back asap and can't afford to fix it again.

 

haha, just bust'n *****. Yeah I'm still a basic bolton evo with cams. only 93 for now. not sure if i'll bother with ethanol on a stock turbo. i know it'll make nice power but i don't care.
