^ don't let those flowers dry on ur paint... ish leaves its mark that only a clay bar or the likes can take care of.
On the other hand with gates car, u can't expect everything to be peachy with that complex of a build. Interested in seeing the final diagnostic but that build up and car is a thing of beauty. All that thread says is a dead cylinder and someone commenting on the oil pan being gnarled up.....
Just waiting for when it gets out in good shape!

I want to try my car but I don't want to wreck it having never driven it at the limit of what it can do. I'd rather get some instruction in a slower car then work my way into it the right way. You try autoxing a 450-500 WHP car on your first day out. I still scare myself merging into traffic sometimes.

Either car would work for your first time out. You will have to get comfortable before you can really get into it, so it takes a little time.
I just realized something today, I scheduled my Disney Trip with the family for May 13th - 19th, I did that 3 months ago, the Holbert is the 15th and 16th WTF! Cannot believe that, just great
After 15 hours of trying to get the damn .mov files to work on my Playstation I found a way to make it work real easy. I use a program Playstation Media Server to network the PS3 to my computer. There is another program called Lamb that converts the .mov file to an MP4. The MP4 works no problem on the PS3, so I was banging the video on my Plasma. The quality is really good for what the camera costs, I was impressed. I think the 720P 60 FPS setting is best for Autox. I tried the 960P and the 720P, the 720P seemed to keep up better with the focus and handle the slight vibrations better, meaning you could actually see the slight movement of my camera at times using the 960P which made the video blurry for a split second. I can really see what I was doing now on course versus what I was using prior, this will be a good learning tool.

That sucks Mike.Colonel, if a road course appeals more to you, I have just the thing. Autox on a road course next weekend at Englishtown. Here is the link http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...2CB01A100A344F
Since I am missing the Holbert I think I will be attending, who else wants to go, I had fun the last time I ran on the road course. There is also another one the following weekend, here is a link to schedule for everything in the area each weekend http://www.autox4u.com/schedule.htm

What's that suppose to mean?
I didn't know about the Englishtown event to be honest. I though about doing the SJR event this weekend just to get seat time, but it looks like that not possible since I have to take Chau to the airport. Holbert may not work out for me after all, since the gf is coming into town...UPenn asked her to be the guest speaker for the graduating class, and i'm pretty sure she said that was when she is coming. I will be there to watch though. As for DC, that's alot of fuel I have to bring along....

I like it.
You'll be fine...
The Mini is a fun car, just lacking in the power department.
Didn't we just have this conversation on Sunday...? You were so proud that you scheduled your vacation around the Holbert.
That sucks Mike.
The road course is a ton of fun for an autox, I did one last year with Marc. I've been telling these guys we need to go check it out. If you go this weekend looks like your gonna have awesome weather.
Lady friend in town aye? Guest speaker at UPenn, that sounds like a big deal to me. Congrats to her.

I like it.As for the lady friend, she's making me attend the graduation, which I've already expressed I didn't care for. But you know how that goes...
I'll be there to watch part of it though!
These guys at Heffner might be doing the same soon, it will probably happen at the Texas Mile run. 1900HP with 41 Pounds of Boost:

i don't understand how that could happen so fast. it isn't like it wasn't dynoed a ton of times and probably tested somewhere. plus AMS has built plenty of time attack cars. strange and dramatic.
The E-town road course is really tight, very bumpy, but it is pretty fun despite the track surface. Car dependent, you can hit some serious speed on the straight. And there are a few sections where you can't make a mistake or it will be very expensive. Pete
Im sure AMS will take care of it
