as long as you can go WOT in second gear with too much drama the EVO would work... I hear those mini's are fun cars though... damn quick too in the right hands.

I think your problem will be turbo lag in tight turns, rather than being launched into space.

It will be tougher to drive at the limit because you cannot go WOT where others can. Just take it easy and you'll get a feel for how much throttle to use.

Yes on the wrinkle. It's one of our standard colors that we do on machines we build (I work for an engineering firm so everything needs to look OEM whenever possible). I won't do it though unless you retract the Cheeco part.
I know I can handle it, but I'm big on learning everything I can too. I'm filling out the SCCA membership form now and have every intention of making a few events. To be honest road course appeals more to me but I know that's a much riskier event and I want a lot of instruction before I even consider attempting it.

Either car would work for your first time out. You will have to get comfortable before you can really get into it, so it takes a little time.

I just realized something today, I scheduled my Disney Trip with the family for May 13th - 19th, I did that 3 months ago, the Holbert is the 15th and 16th WTF! Cannot believe that, just great

After 15 hours of trying to get the damn .mov files to work on my Playstation I found a way to make it work real easy. I use a program Playstation Media Server to network the PS3 to my computer. There is another program called Lamb that converts the .mov file to an MP4. The MP4 works no problem on the PS3, so I was banging the video on my Plasma. The quality is really good for what the camera costs, I was impressed. I think the 720P 60 FPS setting is best for Autox. I tried the 960P and the 720P, the 720P seemed to keep up better with the focus and handle the slight vibrations better, meaning you could actually see the slight movement of my camera at times using the 960P which made the video blurry for a split second. I can really see what I was doing now on course versus what I was using prior, this will be a good learning tool.

Colonel, if a road course appeals more to you, I have just the thing. Autox on a road course next weekend at Englishtown. Here is the link http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...2CB01A100A344F

Since I am missing the Holbert I think I will be attending, who else wants to go, I had fun the last time I ran on the road course. There is also another one the following weekend, here is a link to schedule for everything in the area each weekend http://www.autox4u.com/schedule.htm

funny you should mention that because today i saw two bums selling newspaper with a sign that said "please support philadelphia's first homeless newspaper."

three things then came to mind: 1) they came up with the money to make a newspaper and publish it, yet they're still homeless. i think someone's priorities are a little off. 2) do you think they wipe their asses with it when they're done?. And 3) do the classifieds consist of "looking for a home" or "will suck the skin off of it for a hit" ads?

Actually there is an an Autox at FedEx field in DC next weekend that I think I would want to attend http://www.wdcr-scca.org/SoloAutocro...6/Default.aspx and then hit Englishtown the folowing weekend to make up for missing the Holbert. Chu you have nothing to do, so lets go to DC (Colonel you can come too if you want as well as the rest of you, just Pre Reg. prior to going). I promise you will love the course, they do not fool around down there and the course always are large. I am going to try and get Simmons, Sal and a few others to go possibly. Regardless I will be there unless my wife pulls rank on me...

What does everyone here think about a dark silver rim stripe/tape on the te's? Nothing thatll really pop out but will be reflective at night. Think motorcycle reflective rather than time attack/nascar striping.

What's that suppose to mean? I didn't know about the Englishtown event to be honest. I though about doing the SJR event this weekend just to get seat time, but it looks like that not possible since I have to take Chau to the airport. Holbert may not work out for me after all, since the gf is coming into town...UPenn asked her to be the guest speaker for the graduating class, and i'm pretty sure she said that was when she is coming. I will be there to watch though. As for DC, that's alot of fuel I have to bring along....
