Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
I don't mind forking out the cash if there's no other way, but was hoping I could get mitsu to cover it since my car was stock. Thank you for the immediate reply, i appreciate it.
So, next question, most streetable performance clutch that is reliable and proven. I am leaning towards the exedy twin disc HD kit with the flywheel. Also looking to get the ssp master cylinder, new throw out bearing and the dreaded tranny pins. anything else I should be getting?

The twin is a good choice I think. I've had mine in for about a year and really like it. I have the Exedy HD with AMS Reinforcement Ring. I haven't had any issues and I drag race my car several times a year. Didn't do anything with the pins either. I haven't really heard of many people having an issue.
You might as well change fluids though too. I am going with Redline MTL in the tranny and stock Diaqueen in the tcase and diffs. Everyone has a different opinion, but the stock stuff actually isn't bad at all.
exedy twin or triple for dd for sure. I have a quarter master twin and its fine it will hold anything you throw at it, but it will absolutely start slipping at 10k miles. It mades odd noises like squeeking and the flywheel chatter of an exedy twin. When my quarter master dies, I will be putting in an exedy triple and a clutch stop if I can afford it. If not quarter master disks are like 200 bucks or something.
multi plate clutches just arent designed for stop and go driving habits. Maybe get the cusco twin? It has the leaf springs on the center plate to cut down on irregular wear/noise.
^ It was actually a pretty good time. Not a lot pf people showed so they ran two heats, each went twice for a total of 6 runs. Course was fun, def had some quick sections, even in the wet. Our last three were in drying conditions, so we picked up good time. It did kinda suck early when it was raining. but for the most part it was just a mist.
Tony Lukes was good. Chu and Mike got the veal, I got the chicken.
Here are the raw times...

Thanks Chu, will consider.
I hear you. I will give it a shot even though I know they will probably try to skimp on their commitment.
I am going all out on the stock turbo for now. I have a shipment of ETS intercooler kit, Intake, custom exhaust, 3 port solenoid etc on the way come tuesday. eventually, there will be a turbo upgrade as well. But the car will probably never see past 500whp/wtq. But you know how these things are, I know I might change my mind later.
I'm only considering the diff pins since there is going to be work in the tranny anyway. Just ensuring everything that can be improved within reasonable cost while I'm at it is done.
As for the fluids, Chu suggested the same, I will look into it.
Yeah, but I want to get my *** to the Auto X and track eventually, just haven't had the time in recent times to actually do it. Basically I'm looking for a good balance between street and track/auto X.
I doubt I'll be that lucky, but I'll give it a shot anyway. which dealership?
Thanks to everyone for their inputs. I guess the only things I did not consider were fluids and clutch lines. Even if I forget something now, I think I can be content that I practiced due diligence in ensuring I did not miss anything. Thanks again to everyone
Do you think you really need the pins? Is there evidence of them backing out?
And a clutch is a wear item. It is rare the it would be covered under warranty. It is like mitsu covering your brakes too. Like tim said, if it failed after a few month maybe they'd cover it but they'd probably just blame your driving habits anyway.

You can always try to get it warrantied. It doesn't cost you anything to try. But I wouldn't go out of your way to find a dealer that will, as it is probably a long shot anyway.

I believe you, there was some black kid on the train yesterday coming home from NYC that was full on sucking his thumb. He was definitely in his 20's.
Some Video's from today, I had the volume gain set wrong, so turn up the volume if you want to hear it, will know for next time:
1st run in the rain, Simmonz laying the knowledge on me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_8FR4IZAyM
3rd run, still raining, was feeling strong then with a 1st in BSP, soon to change
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m_1YIlzU-8
6th and fastest run, its basically dry and I am on Hoosiers Wets they kind of do not work in the dry, who knew?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM0isYLmjbI
Good times today even with the weather, I came in second in BSP and can live with that.
Chu, thanks again for the sandwich, it was great when I ate it all the way up until right before I left. Than Tony Lukes came a calling in my stomach, Porto pottys were not cutting it for what I had coming. The TL rocks maybe next time we do the Pork Italian (which is same as what me and Chu ate today but with the Pork).
