BAM!!!!

See where I'm going with this?

quit your crying and drive safer then. just kidding

so the ssp mc failed? interesting... have they been known to fail? they're pretty pricey. i know a few guys running with the ams reinforcement ring without issues. save your cash and try that out with the stocker. if it fails buy the ix one.

there's no "do it right the first time" because putting a beefy piece in first seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

Yeah, I guess its a risk we all take with these modifications. I'd rather deal with this than something unrepairable/super expensive. The SSP is known to fail, I just did not research it enough before buying I guess. one of the guys on the other forum even has a thread about it and he swapped to a CT9A CMC. That route is expensive though. It involves cutting the firewall, welding etc. I don't wanna do the reinforced stock CMC since that's just an accident waiting to happen. People have broken those too with an Exedy twin HD.

On a different note, here's what I got in the mail today:

I just realized how friggin big my head is. The XL helmet is so tight, my head and scalp are still hurting from trying it on 15 minutes back. I'm gonna send it back to Amazon and get an XXL. Hope that fits right.

The camera mount fits my digital cam pretty well though. I'll see how it records tomorrow on a regular drive. Hope it doesn't shake/vibrate too much. Was a very good price.

Pete, now you know I'm not making excuses to skip the Auto-X, I am serious about trying it out. I'm itching real bad to try it.

Good times today for sure. Glad I finally got to meet Luke. I think Joshua hit a hit of 458hp? I don't recall the torque, but I think I saw something like 390 on one of the pulls.

with a good tire thats a mid-low 11 second car.
I still think we need to do a philly drunkard day at Atco. we could do some racing then walk to the tiki bar and get wasted.

I don't know if its your name or what Chu, but Luke kept saying Chu, Chu, Chu all the way home. I think you made an impression on that kid.

No wacovia this year we did one event there at the end of the season last year, not sure why more dates didn't materialize from it. I do know that the grip levels at that site were horrible. I did a 360* in chu's car and still slid about 20' afterwards.

There is some good news coming from the NNJR region. Perry, who runs the show, managed to get a couple trial dates at the medowlands. its a bit of a hike, but that place has over 1 MILLION sq feet of space (aprox 25 acres) to work with!!

This **** happened to me, my MC broke on me when i was trying to make a left hand turn on the top of the hill on Jenkintown ave. It was one of the scariest moments for me in my X, i thought awww **** wth did i do. This happened last summer, I put the AMS MC rein. ring on. Ive had no problems since then. Its cause my ACT clutch puts alot of pressure on the MC. I really think its fine now tho, no problems, i think ppl are overeacting with this issue and the rein ring fixes the problem.

I wouldnt buy the SSP MC unless you plan on putting down big #s or if u have something like a twin disc exedy, or like a "4 puck racing im baller on the street with lots of chatter clutch"

Got my tires on today 265/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE 760s sports. I know they r not RE 11s or star specs, but lets be realistic, they are what I need since i dont track 10 thousand times a yr.

I hit 459 and 386. It's in my sig now and it's staying there so suck it. I was starting to be ok with those numbers but I got curious so I started playing with some old logs. Pete logged all my dyno runs today and VDR is about 5-6 HP off on average from the KHC dyno. Using those same parameters in VDR and running my old logs, everything before about a month ago says 514-519 WHP on E85. Then all of a sudden they drop off to 465ish HP and my fuel trims go wackey. It hasn't felt as fast up top as it used to but I assumed I was getting used to it. I shouldn't complain but I wish I knew what changed. All my old maps are saved and there isn't any drastic changes that I made anywhere that would lead to a loss like that.
