Being alittle skeptical to the fitment of the wheels I'm getting, I did some more research. Found a website that does fitment calculations, and check this out.

Green box is the stock Evo wheel and tire fitment. Orange is the new fitment.

Comparing to the my old RPF1 setup (17x9.5 +38), I gain 14mm of clearance on the inside (added shock/spring and lca clearance), but also gain 14mm on the outside (more flush?)

The used car market is way out of hand. In 2003 I bought a 99 neon with 50,000 miles for $2500.
The question is did you actively seek out a neon when you were looking? I would have hoped you've gotten that out of your system...

I don't understand that picture... to me it looks like your losing clearance on the inside, no?

Pete, the clearance gain I mentioned was in comparison to the 17x9.5 +38 RPF1, not the stock wheels. The picture you are looking at is a comparison to the stock wheels...which you can see is nearly the same inside clearance.
