It happens. Last event i had to cover an area the length of a football field. It was a slalom, so pretty much every car hit something. Some events not a single cone will be hit near your station. I suppose it balances itself out.

Sounds like a fun event, was anyone able to 2-step the launch?

Looks like I missed some competition in BSP as well, bummer.

Just wanted to say he's a crazy dude (in a good way). Thanks for not kicking any cones in my station. I swear, sna and I probably had the worst stations for picking up cones. I mean I know I could use some exercise, but that was just way too much.
I almost got hit twice by the carts a boosted mx5 and a silver 370z in bsp. no stop cone action! and to make it worst it was even hotter in the 2nd heat. so all that running was killing me! Wish we all got 1 more run in, i was wishing for 5-6 more but oh well....fun/tiring day

What do you use, a porter cable dual action? Menzerna also did some revisions to their product line....

I know...that's where I'm getting mine! When I say order, I meant had someone pick them up for me!

Not sure on the brand. Its the one that autopia licensed out and sold before everyone fell in love with the flex DA's. Not sure which revision of menzerna I have, but its not the old beige bottlles, but the white one with orange labels.

Rotaries is where it's at, lol! Sounds like you have the newer Menzerna, but I dont know for sure. I haven't been using their products for long. I've been using the SIP and IP lately. I have been an avid user of 3m and Optimum products.

Never ventured to 3m though their polishing pads are pretty. I use optimum opti-seal sealant and their onr during the winter when bucket washing is too cold. I use the regular ip not the sip. Never had swirls deep enough to get into sip.

Rotaries I never tried, either. I want to get rid of swirls without actually taking off clearcoat. DA's are more time/labor intensive but I'll take that at the cost of cutting down my clear coat. Aren't rotaries more applicable to heavy marring/swirls?

I think i'm ginog to close up monday and just detail the car at the shop!

Rotaries does no more "damage" than the DAs. DAs are just safer, hence the popularity for amateurs. Rotarie are just faster, produce more heat, and not as forgiving. I've always used rotaries!

Just wanted to let you know what great service I got from Shep when sending my Transfer Case. They received it on Friday about 1:00, read my note asking for a quick as possible turn around time since I have traveling events for 3 weeks in a row. Today I got a phone call at 2:00 saying my TC was all built and completed ready to ship out. I paid over the phone and 2 hours later got a Fed Ex tracking #. I should have by Wed. Thurs. the latest.
Thats what I am talking about!

Also big props to the non vendor Chu, my man is like the Kevin Bacon of Mitsu Parts, he has worked with everyone in the business (I assume you guys know that game 6 degrees of K Bacon or something). Told him what I needed and bang, had that ish the next day.......
