there's other ways of achieving a profit when selling cars. a dealership is out to grab every last penny they can, even if it means lying about it. the place i bought my wife's car from had a different approach. they bought a bunch of decent cars and priced them aggressively but very fair and lower than what you'd spent elsewhere and told me straight up "i'm solid on the price." the dude's brother who handled the financing said something later like "we sell cars. we're not trained sale people. we just like cars and selling them. we're not into playing the dealership games."
i know that sound like carmax and their "no haggle policy" but carmax doesn't really price their cars all that well and you may as well go somewhere you can negotiate a bit.

Wait...you couldnt disagree more that its a disgrace or you couldnt agree more? ugh, im confused now. It's almost a catch 22. Everyone loves talkin smack on salesmen and their tactics but they dont realize that theyre just trying to make a living. I hate em but understand why they do what they do

Some are obviously better than others. Dealers get all kinds of kickbacks from the Manufacturer to move units, so some will give a better deal knowing they'll get some of that money back.
Disagree... I feel it falls on the consumer. If you want to be ignorant about your money then they (the dealer) will treat you accordingly.
Perhaps the biggest line a dealer can feed you.

i've bought numerous cars and am aware of the lines and treatment you receive. this was much different. it felt more like buying a car from someone's backyard. they just wanted to sell the thing. not F around with front loaded or end loaded deals.
i decided to look this video up and this is the typical douche bag at the dealership at 1 minute 30 seconds. (disclaimer: if i found some dealership **** ****ing with my car.....even my corrolla, i'd beat their asses up and down the street)

all I know is that a used car salesman (or woman) is one of the worse jobs I can think of. selling new cars doesn't seem that bad to me, but I still wouldn't want my family to rely on my ability to sell something in order for them to eat... unless I was Chu.
What's that suppose to mean Marc? I don't even know if thats a compliment or criticism....a-hole!

Sadly, I'm not trying to make any money off any of the locals, so slinging parts isn't all that benefitial to me. I merely provide connections, cause I know we all need help at some point.
nah man thats for real chu. that deserves a "good looks" call. just finished an 11 work day, off to clean the house and find something to eat. and return to a broken computer...awesome. peace out homies
