52k on my twin, 150+ drag passes, 2 trannies, still perfect, just sayin
Could be oil on the disc too

the koni challenge race was fully of attrition and quite entertaining. i certainly didn't expect that.

btw the rx-8's were the ones that sounded like F1 cars in that video.
Those things were breathing flames every downshift! It was awesome to watch!

Marc, that corner took a few cars out! Also the same corner where alot of passing happened! Miata overtook a BMW. STI took over a Porsche!

I talked to a few mechanics yesterday and learned some very interesting things.

do you have any idea what kind of lap times they were running? last time in my EVO I think I was doing 1:17-1:18's.
If you go on the Grand Am website you might be able to find the quali times... that or check www.motorsport.com, they cover pretty much everything.

Could be the master cylinder, but normally it snaps and goes to the floor. Mine is just slipping.

If you read the forums you will see that the X has a horrible clutch system.
I would tend to agree with Josh, if its slipping under wot, that sounds like a disc gone bad.

They have STi's in Koni Challenge? Newer hatch or older sedan?

pete thanks for the link. saw another couple threads about kelfords snapping. that sucks bc they were at the top of my list of ones to buy. next would be the S2s, but they appear to use the same core as the kelfords? what gives?

damn i didnt want to stay stock and dont want the HKS, maybe this is confined to mivec engines? any ideas guys...

Where did you learn about the Kelfords and GSC using the same core?

There's also other cams out there other HKS you know? The Comp cams did very well on the AMS cam test.

chu im not sure if its true or not but that was what people on the two threads about kelfords snappying were saying. im going to dig a little deep and see if theres any truth behind it. yea I know there are other cams but i was set on kelfords or S2s, but i dont want to base my entire decision based on a couple isolated incidents. plus I got some time before the purchase anyway to decide...

There was a run of cores for EVO9 cams that were not up to par..It has happened to kelford, gsc, probably more.. It was very isolated..I would not hesitate for a minute to buy any GSC product in the future. Many cams mfr.'s buy cores from the same place. bumpsticks ftw

Danimal,
Did you take those pics with 110mm or kodak Disc? Also did it have the stack of one time use flashes resting atop?
I kid I kid

RX8 ftw btw.. Are they triplerotor or renesis turbo? Or is the handling braking just that good to hang with the vettes?
