They don't bottle it. That stuff is great when it's real fresh.

I've got a couple local friends visiting the Bay area right now. I gave them a list of beers to bring back. I'm hoping for some <2 week old Pliny the Elder.

Parts were the original hold up (aka Fred Beans). Losing two of the valve keepers really put us back. The car probably would have been together a month ago had that not happend. Then the same day the keepers came in and we were supposed to button everything up Adam broke his ankle. Since then he has had some issues with a blood clot that kept him from doing pretty much anything that didn't envolve sitting down with his foot elevated.

I'm not blaming Adam for anything. I'm there when he is working on the car and he has a lot of time into it. These things just take time. Unless you have all the parts right there ready to go and you don't run into anything unexpected its not an easy job. Seeing all the steps involved and how many tricks he knows it obvious hes done tens of dozens of these. I am so glad I didn't attempt this on my own. Not only would I have probably gotten frustrated and given up, but I don't even have a place to do the work now since my garage is getting redone.

that sucks, marc. sorry to hear. that's nuts about adam and the clot. that could have ended up in his lung if he didn't notice his leg swelling up.

what are you doing again? a stroker or boring the block?
