Wheels look good.

Well guys and girls, I scored a co-drive in the fastest Street Mod car in the country. So I'm heading to Lincoln Ne to fight for a national championship. I'm alittle nervous but I do have faith that I have what I need to do well. It will be a matter of me being able to find it those days.

Glad you got the seat! I met the guy at Mid-O in August when he was running in the HPDE 3 group and he seemed like nice nice guy....his car is very nice and very well set up.

No doubt that you will kick some serious **** out there!

I'm glad he picked you. Patrick and I put our support behind you. You're going to do fine. I'd be curious though to see how you're times would compare between your car and his.

Good luck!!!!

9.5" wheels /w +35 offset. Running 255 35 18 tires no rubbing. I'd be curious if I was able to get 265 under there without rubbing.

not sure to be honest

I sit a little lower in the rear and with the 255 I rub once in a while on hard bumps... its from the bolt in the rear fender/bumper connection, and i would be using the 265's if i could have but till I fix it, 255's for me..

Are those volks?

BOSE Speakers

Anyone ever put Bose speakers in their Evo? I was driving around in my son's Audi S4 with the Bose system, and was thinking if I could find Bose or something that sounds as good...it would be nice to upgrade the OEM speakers in the EVO. I just don't see any on Crutchfield that look like they would fit.

Anyone make a competitive alternative to BOSE that sound as good?

I have some decent Alpine ones in my car and they work great. I had to add a little 10" sub in the trunk to give it more low, but it is by no means obscenely loud bass. I mounted the amps for the speakers under the two seats and it came out pretty clean.

FWIW, these are the alpines in my car (these might be a few years newer than what I have, but essentially the same thing). They sound great and aren't obscenely expensive.

OEM speakers are an odd size i think... They are like 6.75" and few companies make them. They do sell spacers that bolt in that allow for a 6.5" to fit in there, and they are not expensive at all.

JL audio is top notch stuff if you cant find bose speakers that fit your liking....

Thanks for the link, I am getting my Xmas list together to give to my wife early this year I know she won't go for a new turbo...but I think I can get new speakers under the tree....
