Local Pittsburgh meet part deux
Choice? post up about bushings, fluid changes, mike @ bariel doing my oil change or be hated on?
bunch'o'losers
Look it is simple...
I bought my evo, there were maybe 6 or 7 members on here who would meet up at anytime anyplace. Meets were strong. EVERYONE raced EVERYONE.
Dan put up the first fast numbers in the group... stock turbo but cams.
We were all extremely close in performance, and cool with each other. Next thing you know he has a 30R on his car, and not a single person is within 10 cars of him at the track (fellow evo owners) and begin to hate even back then...
I build my evo car is down for almost 2 years and when it was done, 7 of 10 people on the burgh thread hated.
I took lots and lots of heat over it, and that was fine. I deserved some of it, but at the same time I didn't.
Dan / Garrett (whom lots of people like on here built their evos as well) Garrett was praised at first (then quickly made a mess of) and Dan was pretty much ignored when he built his but he doesnt care because he does have thick skin...
All I am saying is there are some really really jealous people who own evos, like pathetic little (Oh i cannot afford to do that, or dont know how to do that so I am going to hate hate hate till my little hating heart cant hate no mo! )
But no one ever steps up. there are more manginas on this thread than anywhere else.

I remember posting back right before you bought your house that you were going to sell it. nothing to be ashamed of, you can buy a 2003 with 150,000 miles on it for probably half of what your upside down on your 2006 still

I wasn't around in the beginning because I was uninformed of the forum. Save the history lesson as I don't see how it applies
I have had my Evo since 2005 and have had it into Baierl/Mike 3 times, twice for warranty, once to have my cams installed. Other than that it has been to a body shop when I ran a deer over. So that comment doesn't apply to me?
I gave/give props to the builds and I wish I had the money/motivation to do the builds others have done. So that doesn't apply to me.
I have a stock turbo and have to fit my mods into my budget... I am not offended... My car runs as good as I want it to at the moment.
but lets be honest here man, if money was not an issue you would just keep it right?

Money is the issue but its not due to me having enough to afford keeping it - its due to me wanting to free up more money so we can start putting more money into our house and other things that we want to do in life.
right now the evo is just a waste of money to me and I get no real satisfaction of having it, that's about it in a nutshell.
and just to clarify - im not poor.......

Not sure what your planning to do to the house, but my original comment 8 months ago or whenever you bought the house was why not sell it now? Put more money down on a "nicer" home that requires less work in the future... Remember the whole starter home argument we had back then..
Its cool though, glad you agree with what i have to say now, even though I told you so long ago.
Its hard to pull something that i never said either... Go back and I told you to sell your car or you would eventually sell it for a nicer home.

We bought the home we wanted in the exact area we wanted - we wanted something that needed work because I like to do that kind of work, we also saw a chance for a good investment that we will be able to get a return on when were ready to get a bigger home due to family growing (if we ever decide to).
Regardless if i sold the evo we wouldn't have bought any more expensive because we had a budget and we didn't want to be house poor. We wanted to be able to travel and do things and have money for hobbies, etc and have money to do things to the house a little at a time.
Now I see what the evo costs me and how much I really don't need it and how much extra money we could have to do more with and maybe get the things were planning done faster than what we thought we would be able to...
To quote me there makes no sense. You have a choice to ignore this thread that is all I am saying.
