Thanks. Figured I need to get some SS brake lines on the car. Brake was mushy in comparison to Jeremy's car. Then eventually do the rear diff upgrade. Should help out a bit.

the SS lines do help a bit with the feel but those banjo bolts can be a real $%&!@ to get on/off. you definitely need the special wrench set for them. even with the proper tools when i was changing the lines you could see the wrench heads flexing and opening a tad when you torqued on them.

what kind of pads/fluid/rotors are you running currently?

EBC Yellow Pads. Rotors are drilled and slotted, but don't know the brand since they were on the car. Factory spec fluid.

i saw a nice improvement in responsiveness and a noticeable reduction in fade switching to motul rbf 600. nothing completely game changing, but every little bit helps.

Brants car was great, except for too much lag IMO and his brakes sucked. They might just need bled but, they were way too mushy feeling for me.

I agree on the brakes especially driving yours. Hope to get the SS lines ordered today along with the Motul fluid. Hope to get those done before Sunday's race. Need to get me another 2nd place finish. haha

I agree on the lag.

Not looking to get into a debate about abs, but have any of you auto x guys eliminated abs? I did on the dsms and the evos lines are just as ugly in the engine bay.

If you did, did you use and aftermarket proportioning valve or did you try to track down the RS oem equipment?

Might want to ask Curt Brown. I'm almost positive he got rid of the ABS.

The SS lines and Motul 600 stiffened up my brake pedal feel significantly. It was a night and day difference for me. I would say that was one of the best bang for your buck mods for my car to date. The Girodisc pads/rotors are nice, but the difference is still not as noticeable as the lines and fluid change.

I do kno that some of the top auto-x guys have put abs back in their RS's. And from what Mike has said. The RS actually is plumbed for the ABS.
