I am. It was a real pain for Mike to deal with putting it in a IX. It was the first 2.1 in a MIVEC Evo. So he had clearance issues with the timing belt and water pump system, but it was all dealt with. I just like having the piece of mind that I have a motor that could take anything I can throw at it, rev very high and produce decent power.

I just want to get this Red setup fully tuned on speed density and then I'm done modding. To be honest my car has sat in my garage for two weeks now. I drove it once since I picked it up from Mike with the turbine swap. Its just no fun to drive around and I have no time to tune it. It has to get out to Nate @ TPG, I think I might take it tonight. If I am still unhappy with things, I might consider selling it off. I have so much money tied up in that car to just let it sit there... We'll see. Hopefully a new SD tune and some good power will change my mind.
You've come this far with it dude, hang in there It would be a shame to ditch it now. I was thinking the same this spring when my car was pissing me off and I had no time to mess with it. Once you get all these issues sorted out and running good, you'll be happy with it

Guys, go drive/race your cars and quite screwing around with them. If E85 is causing problems by having to tune it all the time, switch back
to pump gas. I can't imagine you can use the power on pump gas as it is.

I see this happen way tooo often. People are always just tinkering around and it causes nothing but problems. Set it and forget it.

Thats where I am at now. I just wish I wouldn't have switched turbos then I wouldn't have to do all this crap.

Jer I like to tinker, its in my nature, and that's mostly the reason why I am still hanging on to my Evo. I am adding one part at a time and to pay for a tune each time would get too expensive. I am not very good at racing and I don't have much desire to practice.

If anyone wants to get some track time, check out the following: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mo...on-ledges.html

I have it on my calendar. Might be cool to see some other PA locals.

i've heard nelson ledges is a really fun track.

i was checking out the course map a while back and it looks fairly challenging/fun.

wish i was able to race. sounds like a fun event for a reasonable price.
