I don't think anyone here. I was until I found out that I don't actually qualify for stock class. I don't like the idea of bracket racing and I can't afford to travel that far unless I have a very high chance of actually winning.

Maybe next year...

they're good guns but not my personal preference as far as firearms go.

i've shot several glocks and because of being all composite they tend to feel unbalanced to me. that's just my feelings though. quite a lot of people swear by them.

i always tell people when they're going to get their first gun that they should shoot as many as they can first, and handle as many guns as possible so they can see what feels best for them.

Good advice. Where is a good place to test out a variety of handguns?

i find it very hard to believe that there's more homoeroticism anywhere outside of the philly limits save san francisco.

I own a Glock but put it low on my list. Never liked the feel of the gun or accuracy.
I have a Springfield Armory Loaded 1911. Not bad accuracy wise. Feels very natural ( like all 1911s imo).
I have a Kimber PLE 1911. Smaller barrel than the springfield. Same accuracy and feel.
I have a Springfield XDm. Much better than the Glock in terms of feel and accuracy.

I used to carry my 1911 but started worrying about the 7+1 capacity. So now I carry the XDm with 19+1. Conceals nice and having 20rounds could be a handy in a bad situation.

If you go 1911 can afford it, skip the slow end Springfields and Kimbers. Get a Springfield TRP, Les Baer, or Wilson Combat. Just a lot better guns in terms of barrels, fit and quality parts.

Heard plenty of bad stories about the para-ordinance mainly due to the double stack feature. There's a reason that most mfgs never went that route. Just not as reliable.

Josh, before you get demolished in tags. Your young! Don't get yourself too worked up over this. It's a very slim chance that you would have married this girl and had it work for any good amount of time. People change, and your in a time of your life that change will be huge until your in your late 20's. Take it as a learning experience about how to treat women. If you think that you will change and make it work, your fooling yourself. The best you can hope for is to be friends. And that is not an easy thing.

Go find out what a huge world is out there and that life is bigger then a high school relationship.

Trust me. It sucks now and will for awhile. But it will get better and there will be more.

don't worry dude, we've all been there before.

it sucks now but with time you're going to move past it and end up finding someone better.

take this time while you're young to enjoy playing the field. keep that pimp hand strong.

I already have one of those....its a big boy, 3 1/2" Mag.

The .45 i am going to look at over thanksgiving is a semi-auto, comes with a couple clips and shells (not sure how many yet).

Its a high point - I read some good reviews on them and for what i can get this one for its worth to have hanging around, even if its not the "best" on the market.
