Local Pittsburgh meet part deux
i don't have one around, yet.
i plan on going this way myself in the near future. from what i have heard it is quite an excellent option.
if i recall correctly you can even do nifty things like setting different boost levels in different gears. for someone with as much power as you that could be very helpful to tone it down in first to help get off the line, then have it full bore in the other gears.

Only part that sucks a fatty is I gotta keep a laptop with me to change boost or go full boost in case of a need for all of it...

i kid, i kid of course. it just struck me as odd that they would move to production to the frosty north.
Of course your on the AEM but concepts are still the same.
If you get it setup right you don't have to tweak it much......I never really had to mess with mine after I got the initial settings done, all the corrections were done for me by the ecu. There was even a air temp correction that would pull WGDC as the air temps fell to the certain intervals. It takes trial and error to get it all setup but once you do its rock solid imo...

If that was possible I'd deff set it up... That way as long as I'd be on E85 I could cruise at 30 toss the switch in case I needed it, even if I didn't have the laptop with me to change boost settings
I'm currently not aware of a method that would allow me to use a switch to allow me to go from a low boost setting say for everyday use around 30psi and then hit the switch for full boost at 40 psi

Speaking of E85 has anyone seen any change in the blend yet...
I did some logs on Sunday after filling up at sheetz in monroeville and it still seems to be the same at that location...
Afr logs still solid 11.7-12.0 range thru 3rd gear pulls and zero knock at 36psi pulls... I was half tempted to toss a few more degree of timing in her.... Just to see when it would actually start to knock.... It seems that E is just so knock resistant at any boost level I run shlt is sooo sick!!!
Sucks It's only a matter of time till it's switched up
Then it's either run 93... Retune for the winter blend or park this bish and find a small winter project for her haha !!!

Why not just run the high boost and don't get on it hard unless you want to?
It's about safe to say I don't need to run 40psi 650whp like all the time.... And also 30psi is still 550+ whp and easier on everything so I prefer to be at a lower power level for cruising and fun runs.... Just would like to have that ability to hit kill mode at a flick of a switch.... In case you fools with 1000cc bikes wanna go hahaha
I don't want my right foot to be a boost controller haha I wanna go WOT and hammer gears when I'm out not worry about the xtra stress I'm puttin the motor thru cause I can't controll boost easily and I'm always set to kill
Weather for the 16th is officially looking better. Now a high of 60 degrees with 0% chance of precipitation.
P.s. Has anyone picked up a car and driver lately and seen what the latest 911 Turbo S is doing in the quarter mile? Here's some shocking #'s: 0-60 in 2.7, 0-100 in 6.4, 1/4 mile in 10.8 @ 129 mph...pretty ridiculous for a stock car with 530bhp (i'm guessing that is a very, very conservative bhp figure).
