What would you guys reccomend going with?? Fp Black, or cbrd Bbx full. Car is still DD and would probably run E85 tune on track days. I'll mainly be doing a bit of everything when it comes to racing types. Not sure how i feel of running on E85 with a fp black without rods, rod bolts, pistons etc... Plenty have blown motor with E85 with red and bbx, goal is 420awhp which im pretty confident i can get with bbx easily. I just dont want to go down the road and be unhappy with power I said along time ago i was getting a turbo blah blah... but i had just got a gf and didnt realize how damn expensive they were.... so my car stays the same while i take her out pretty much every day to eat... never new a 100 pound girl could eat so much so often! but any way haha since school started again i wont see her as much like i did over summer, so i want stock appearing turbo, fuel pump, injectors, cams with spring and retainers, and just a tune. anything else i should know?? or think about before all of this?? I dont want to make any mistakes..

I would go BBX Full - only make the jump to the Black when you have the built bottom end and sleeves, then you can get the full potential out of it. The BBX is perfect for auto-x. You'll be happy with it. However before any of this I would suggest suspension mods before power, since you plan on tracking the car. Get the feel for it first before more power. Just my 2cents

I have no ideas about turbos for the X but, I always liked the bbk turbo's. They seem to be a perfect turbo for all around use.

After running a car with E85 at nationals I still question the use of it. I'm sure it had to do with the tune but, there was some stalling issues after full throttle shutdown and then it seemed to be hard to get running, right after that. It sucks when your in a bad spot on track and need your car to be running to get the he'll outa there.

Agreed.

One more idea, what fuel supply are you using? Just a walbro? Double Pumper? Could be an issue with the pump going out or possibly even a regulator problem. That is the time you can really tell on pump issues, you will either start to see things going leaner at high speed/load runs, or after you beat on it, sometimes they will have problems holding constant pressure at idle. How old is the pump?

It was only a matter of time before (I assumed) this would happen. Kerosene is the primary hydrocarbon base for most Jet fuels, and can be used to some benefit in some automobiles, too (primarily diesel engines). There are just a few problems with using it on a daily basis in a car like ours.

The combustion of kerosene needs a higher compression ratio than normal gasoline due to its lower volatility than regular petrol. It isn't something you should run 100% in the gas tank, some form of dilution should be made to control your acceptable octane rating. Kerosene is has a certain septane rating (how easy it is to ignite instead of how difficult it is, no idea why) and I would be guessing again if I knew what that number is, I would have to look things up.

What are the results you found, Pab? Any links? The main industry that sees the most use out of kerosene in vehicles is the diesel industry. They dilute their diesel fuel with certain percentages of Kerosene to prevent "gelling" in the winter months, and also use it as a solvent to clean out the fuel tank, lines, etc.

Interested for more information, I will google it after work. Again, if you have a link to any posted results, post them up Pab.

Finally got my fenders rolled to put the new wheels & tires on. Ryan Moore (subaru guy) came to my house and did them, very professional & friendly guy to deal with and did a job that looks like factory.

Had it on the track tonight and the rub against the splash shield on the back side of the wheel on the plastic. Has anyone figured out how to fix this besides removing the inside fenders completely?

Question for you guys out there, preferrably someone with a setup similar to mine. Im running the ID1000's and I'm starting to get concerned with injector duty cycle on E85. Looking at my logs from the other night, my IDC peaks a 96.5% @ 6000 rpm (19.2 ms IPW). It trails off to 94.7% @ 7100 rpm (15.9ms IPW).

My concern is that maybe my pump is tapping out... I just didn't think I would be maxing these injectors out so soon.

I would appreciate it if someone could give me a snapshot comparison of their IDC's and IPW's

Thanks in advance for any info.
