i ordered a carbon fiber vortex generator off evodave for the first car.
when i got it, it looks like the jerks at UPS had tried to use it as a trampoline.
made me angry, especially with the words "FRAGILE" all over in huge red letters.
when i called to complain they tried to tell me that the shipper sent a broken piece. like wtf, did he also jump up and down on the box before he dropped it off? come on now.
eventually they relented, but it was a bit of a pain to get UPS to make right on it.

At least we opened it up to make sure. Will contact DriveLine and see how long before I get a new one.
Let's face it considering that 4-5 year old evo ix's should in all rights be fetching 15 or 16 grand used and they're trading in the low-mid 20's is pretty darned impressive. Even Danes high mileage one got a decent buck with some work needed.
The X guys just get no love. Even with mitsus recent ridiculous price increase.
As far as mine goes, I'm not dieing to get rid of it yet. I am just hunting for the next toy so figured I might as well start shopping mine before I just trade it in. However, more and more I think I may end up keeping her. There simple is nothing else I want that I can drive all year round.

Well, just made it back to my hotel and have a nice long drive back home tomorrow.... with a NEW CAR. YAY!!!!!
After talking with Mike the other day and some long honest thinking I decided I don't need a full on track car because I get to drive everyone elses on a regular basis (lol) I just want an awsome street car that makes pretty much anything eat **** and I can play with on once in a while at the track. So I picked up a brand new 2010 Evo X GSR SSS for a very fair price with a good trade in and have plenty of money for mods!
I'm going to put ~1000 miles on it before I do anything to it that may affect the warranty then kick it up a few notches by the first week of aug.
I'm just stoked to be back in the scene and I am supremely satisfied thus far, it just needs 300 more hp.
To everyone that has given me the opportunity to drive your car, be it on the street or track you gave back the evo fever I used to have back in the VIII days.
