Boy I wish I could make the meet but I had already made plans with the wife. Looks like a record turnout with some great cars!

What's wrong with 0% for 36? We have bought 2 cars on that deal before. Sure 0% for 60 is better ( which is what we have on the outlander) but still a good deal if you can afford payments.

Personally I would never lease an Evo. Leasing is just a waste of money.

Quote: Hey there. New to the forums and thought I'd stop in on the Pittsburgh thread for my first post.
Got an 08 GSR a month or so ago (still stock) and thought I'd head down to the meet on Saturday.

Welcome Aboard! I see that you have the wider side skirts/spoilers. I do as well Hate them! Some of my ppl seem to think they are steps, and they get kicked all the time. Maybe I see you at the meet. Look for the guy that would most likely have the knick name Lefty, lol.

Quote: is offering a lease program: $360 for 48 months w/$4000 down....0% for 36 which is crap IMO unless you are comfortable with 8-900 a month with a significant down payment.
See, thats kinda my problem, I'd be fine with the 0% for 36 mo payment just I bought this Ducati in Dec not planning on getting an evo again. Now that I have a commitment almost as big as the car. Either way the bike isn't going anywhere, I will have it untill I die.
However, I own the BMW which is worth 16.5 on trade, 19.4 private, or 22.5 at dealership so If I can unload that car for cash for even up with some one locals evo IX then i'll be in good shape.

Sam from South coast mitsu got back to me they do have leases on X's and hes even got 3 Evo IX Mr's that are new left overs that hes supposed to find me pricing on. Any idea what a fair price is for an IX MR new leftover? I was hoping like 27-28k.

Dan, unfortunately I will not be able to attend the meet. I will be working at beaverun for the 4 days. Get your e85 situation sorted, ill get some more miles on the bike and the first "service" done then we will be good to go in 2 weeks or less.

I understand your want for an EVO, but I think you would reget a lease. Its like having the your very favorite food sitting in front of you, but you can't eat it. You wont really be able to do anything to the car, and You will get raped big time when it comes to the buy out as well.

Ya man, hes been pushing those for 3 months now. They are sitting on silver, but want gold for them.

Hence why they have 3 out of the 4 left over. Trade in value on kbb with 50 miles on it in excellent condition is only 22.5k. Awesome for a collector, not so good for a consumer. Although, even I wouldnt mind having a new IX....

Ian - i go through spurts. Keep it, get rid of it, keep it, get rid of it. I just washed an waxed it yesterday so i guess ill keep it another week

I would lease to own and just buy out at the end for the low monthly payments up front, that may not be the best option for me but I have to explore every option. Hopefully, i'll be rolling in an IX or X by the end of the month.

Wow, Didn't see that link before. They have got to be out of their minds, back in 06 before 4 yrs worth of inflation they were $36.3k new!

Looks like that's no longer an option

Eric, why do you want an EVO? You have a nice daily driver in the BMW and a race car for racing. Plus , a nice cycle and an Elise that you can track. Why not mod the Elise?

In a sense, 0% for 36month just isn't for everyone. You either: 1.) Put a large down payment too get the monthly payments down or 2.) You can afford a very steep monthly payment. Either way, requires you to have a good job.

Eventually when I'm due for a new daily driver car, I probably buy a Ralliart. Something a little more "tame" for street driving and just do a tune and be done. No modding.

Dropped the car off at Mike's house last night. I'm hoping Mike didn't kill anyone to live in that SWEEEEEET house.

The Lotus is my fathers and I drive it 3x more miles a yr than he does, he kicked around the idea of going full race suspension, lsd, and supercharger but in the end it won't make him any more happy about the car as he is very pleased with it. Unfortunately, I am unfunded for racing this year. I had plans to run the Patron challenge GT3 series but rather than running a few races then having to drop out I decided to step down for a year untill I procure ample funding for 2011. So knowing I wasn't going to be racing this season I bought a fairly decent sport bike so I woudln't go absoutely INSANE this summer and after riding in 2 fast evos this past week its really got me itching for an evo again and nothing wrong with using it as a daily driver anyways.

Oh also have a neon to daily drive if I have to that doesn't get used anymore and should be for sale to.
