Quote: If I may make a suggestion, to help avoid situations like boost pipes bowing out/ off, I have found using constant torque hose clamps beneficial. They have a wider band and have a belleville spring that adjusts the torque automatically with temp changes in the turbo system. Also they can't be over tightened, and won't cut or extrude the Silicone hoses or couplers. They are available in 100% SST inc. the bolt, are more expensive than standard T bolt or worm drive clamps, but are worth the cost in my humble opinion. They are available at Mcmatsercarr.com and usually will be delivered the next day to the PGH area. Just a suggestion, hope maybe it helps. Take care.
I'm seriously considering getting some better clamps. The coupler on the LICP is shorter than I would like. Getting Mike to install a wideband on it. I'm going to have him look over all this stuff as well. Don't want that to happen again.

Yea Happy Easter to All BTW,

That sounds like a good plan, once you get the better clamps, the weak point then becomes your coupler, in higher boost situations. Two ways to solve the problem. Use hump hose couplers, or better yet weld tie bars across the joint. The latter is a pain and can be costly, but the hump hoses seem to work well for everyday driving and the occasional track day.

I have an extra silicon coupler if you would like it. I can send it to you, or bring it to the meet, that is if my car is done in time. I'm having a hang up on a few things. Let me know, man. Take care.

Let me see what Mike comes up with and I'll let you know. I've got a set of EBC Yellow pads on the way, so I'll have to get those installed before heading back to the track.

Ok, It's not going any where, if you need it, its yours.

EBC yellow , cool you will have to let me know how they are. I have used EBC on both my H-D and Buell but never on a car. I am just getting into tuning cars seriously, prior to my accident my focus was on motorcycles.

So I've noticed that when I put the stock hood back on, the engine bay feels a hell of a lot hotter than with the CF hood. Did you guys remove your vent cover to allow for better air flow?

I yanked the vents out for looks mainly, my car wasn't ever running very hot, but then again, its was pretty much stock.

That supra's turbo is as wide as its block!
