Got to ride in the Lotus. Damn that thing is awesome. Great all around car, minus getting in and out. haha
I should have asked Eric for a ride. Those cars look like so much fun. Maybe next time Eric. If my day wasn't cut short with a mystery turbo leak I'm sure I would have. And by the way Eric, I found out what it was. I took the evo home and hooked up my pressure tester. The leak was coming out the back to the turbo compressor housing. Apparently the bolts were coming a little lose.

Good meeting you out there. The car looked awesome. Will have to get a ride in your car as well. Gotta see how he Ohlins coilover system feels. Might have to save up my pennies for this winter.

Good thing it was something simple and not an oil passage block, etc...
Thanks again for the ride, hopefully i'll see it on your high boost setting some time.

Jared's suspension is one serious piece of kit. That coupled w/some sticky buns on there and it'll make one KILLER cornering machine, not to mention a pretty gnarly motor!

Jared, I'm assuming you want with the works ohlin's? Are you running the spring rates that came on them? It sounds like your about ready to come out racing ! Now there are a few more things you need to have done and you will
be set. I also might have a set of slightly used r-comps for sale if your interested.

Fwiw, the auto-x at north park start on Sunday.

^metal,

I see you posted you needed to learn to drive the car in patricks thread. Auto-x is a great place to learn your cars limits. Road courses are great to learn driving technique but you really never push it past the limit. (unless you like crashing)

Crashing isn't preferred.

I can never tell were the course is from video either. It's really not as confusing as it looks typically. ( it has been tho). And nobody cares if you get lost as long ad you don't run people over. I'd be happy to ride with you if you come out. I will get you around the course.

Entry fee $25 non member, $20 member

membership is $20 which as you can see will pay for itself.

There is also a driving school on sat. - lots of runs thru slaloms and skid pads with a course the 2nd half of the day. You will eat some tire this day tho!

All and all North hills sports car club is a great group of racers to get to kno. It's one of the oldest car clubs in the US.

Plus, auto-x is like drivers Ed for car handling skills. Which will make the parents feel good that your being an idiot in your car on s closed course and not out on the roads. You can actually get insurance breaks for this under drivers education. ( not all but some companys)

Hey there. New to the forums and thought I'd stop in on the Pittsburgh thread for my first post.
Got an 08 GSR a month or so ago (still stock) and thought I'd head down to the meet on Saturday.
