For those who give a damn the Evo had sprung an external oil leak , this happen on my private test grounds after racing a Gixxer 1000 to speeds in excess of 175+ mph. The sustained rpm in 5th gear was the demise to a seal on the oil pump. I am putting on a new oil pump front cover. Motor is in tact and in good working order
The list in a small font at the bottom of the thread. Starting with "auto X is 4 wimps", Bushur nut hugger, daddy paid for petey evo etc.
They are traditionally used to post relevant content to make the thread easy to search for and have pertinent information about the thread.
Obviously the tags should be like "Pittsburgh" "Home of the champions" positive enriching things like that that cast our area in a positive warm light. But Instead we get the disappointing but more accurate "lame old dudes"and trav gives free handjobs tags.

Well, yet another set back in the build. We have been through 2 water pumps that both will not work. Had to adapt an oil line from the block to the head as I was sold an 8 block being said it was for a 9. Never knew they had never built a 2.1 L IX before, no rear main seal was included when I explained I wanted to replace all parts that were a direct bolt up to the motor. Overnighted coilover to Robi in hopes (and promised) to get it back today, no answer on the phone, no fees ever charged. Have to delay tuning of it because we can't seem to get the motor back in the car because of so many god damn problems.
At this point I just feel really bad for Mike. Time and time again he tries to squeeze me in and get things done and rolling and more problems arise. What could have taken a week or less to do is now on week number two with no looks of getting any easier.
New ID2000 injectors arrived today, which sort of made it a little better, but also made me depressed that it is taking this long. I am not trying to add fuel to the shop wars fire, but this should not have been this difficult of a build, and I needed to vent somewhere.

What yr was the 1000?
How close was it?
Morse, I'm pm'ing you the video of it. I'd post it up for all to see but to give the location of nicelys facility would be I'll advised.
I won't spoil dan's story telling abilities, but the gist of it was: busa got stomped out like a civic. The gixxer had a exhaust, k&n, and I believe a power commander. Dan had to reel him in big time cuz that bike has some get up and go. I think it was geared down so it took off like a bat out of hell then petered out big time. Just my thoughts as I don't know the bike or the rider
