^^

Will check into it. I'm having a Hallman controller shipped over night to me regardless.

Pulled the MBC off. Unscrewed it and looked it over. Spring and ball seemed ok. Lubed the ball a little and put the controller back on.

Put another sustained 20psi through the system. Still getting a gush of air again from that hole in the MBC. No other spots hissing or bubbling air.

Has to be the MBC at this point.

When you say close it....do you mean as if turning the boost all the way up or down?

I turned it in such a way that it would be opening up the Boost all the way (shorten the overall length of MBC) and it still vents like a mother.

If you shorten the overall length all the way you are closing it and no air should get through it. Therefore you have a faulty mbc if it's still hissing. It's probably leaking past the o ring Brant.

Hope we figured it out!!

Certainly hope so. As soon as I get the Hallman I'll go from there. Otherwise, I'm out of ideas and probably going to drop it off at Buschurs.

Just as an edit, here is VDR comparison of the car back in Feb until one recently. Keep in mind the comparison one rarely reaches as high on whp as it did on this one. But you can see how LAZY the car feels.

Wow, that is HORRIBLE!
Do you believe you had this boost leak before the licp hose got detached on the flat out day?

Actually yes. The car had felt very sluggish since March.

If it's not supposed to, then that would be a problem, otherwise, there is still another air leak.

ummm the vent hole is supposed to be there, that is how mbc's work.. That vent hole bleeds off air to control boost

classic

That's because he doesn't understand the ecu boost system or how to tune it probably.....least imo. It works I have been using it everyday for over 2 years now, I have tuned it myself and it works flawlessly. There is a learning curve but once you grasp how it all works it becomes amazingly simple.

there are a lot of people using it - see the ecuflash forum.

There isn't a single stock ecu option that I am not confident in and I have done everything myself all the way up to speed density tuning and all works amazing.

Mike thinks its the wastegate. How do I go about shortening up the rod? Is it just unclip it and does it screw shorter?

When do you want to apply your knowledge to an X . Sounds like you need a challenge. And of course compensation.

pull the pin, pop the arm off and turn it in - there is a locking nut on it too loosen that.....then pop the arm back on and put the pin back in. Its fairly simple but will be a slight pain due to limited space you have.

trav, the hole on the mbc is supposed to be there of course, but as I mentioned before the o-ring, spring, and pill in these specific mbc's cause problems
