^ I'm with Chu.

3 Gallons is way to much, I usually add 1-1.5. Team Band-Aid, ninja!

Dan, I was tuned at 11.5 across the board. I'm seeing more knock with the oe intercooler back on the car, thats the only thing thats changed.

I said 5. I don't put that much in either but I had to figure that out for myself. I probably got confused thinking you used your entire five gallon jug at a time but then you only keep 93 in there.

There proof that I don't pay attention to what you do when you have clothes on.

Dan, you have a small obssession with fuel. lol. I thinkit stemmed from the length of time you ran E85 and always hae to refuel in paddock. I noticed you were always concerned with AFR when you went back to 93 and constantly spiking with leaded fuel.

I spiked a few times in the past. I was either using unleaded 100 octane, or 1/2 gallon of leaded 110 depending on fuel level in the tank. 1/2 to 1 gallon to a full tank of 93 usally killsany knock. My car rarely flashes though.

I started spiking every since I ran my first day on gas in February and had a major hesitation rolling back on the throttle coming out of turn 5 at tbolt. It did it a few times. I spiked it and it stopped for the rest of the day. I had a full tank when the hesitation happened so I don't think it was a pick up issue. And changing fuel wouldn't fix bad plugs.

I do pay a lot of attention to fuel though. I admit. E85 is likely the reason. I had to calculate every single move I made before, during and after an event. That last schattenbaum event we did last year where I burned through two flo n go in one day at lightning was enough for me to welcome the change to pump gas.

some motors just make more noise than others. I get lots of knock when transitioning from vacuum to boost or when I let off the gas REAL fast and get back on it. I don't worry about those knock counts, but when I'm WOT down the straight on a hot day and the light is flashy-flashy, then I consider that knock.

You guys who don't see the light all that often I'll bet have your knock sensor filters/tables/thresholds modified from stock. Try running the OEM values and see what that light does.

Team Band-Aid OUT!

Why would adding higher octane fuel change air fuel? I thought it only affected chance of pre-ignition.

Leaded fuel burns at a slower rate than unleaded which leaves you running rich.

Annoyance factor depends on where you mount it too, that's why it's not on A Pillar for me.

^ Higher octane fuels, doesn't have to be leaded, but yes, thats why.
