Personally, dude is 5 laps down and made questionable contact with me twice, I would punt him right into the wall, cause thats how I roll. For real, I am not kidding, prolly good I don't do wheel to wheel

Never seen one blow at an Autox sayin

They also get a 100 runs out of Hoosiers A6's, little jelly on that, we get approx. 50 runs (rotating and flipping tire) or we can say about 25 heat cycles before they are done

One of my homies is a mechanic for Dyson...I gave him a hard time for not having Patterson move out of the way..we agreed that Patterson should have moved over on his own. That said, the Conquest guy brought that second contact on himself...getting all red misty, losing sight of the bigger picture, and not waiting for his opportunity to get around the limping LMP1 car safely. But, that's ALMS multi-class racing for you, especially when you have two LMP classes so close in performance...

Was it 08 or 09 when Puegeout was a few laps down; Audi was leading uncontested and still fought to stay in front. Audi ended up crashing out of the race, and the win went to Puegeout. Was it a bad move on Patterson, Yes. But, thats racing and not HPDE. No one will stick their finger out and give a point by. I agree with Justin, in that the driver should have waited.

Yea, he was 5 laps down, totally out of it at that point. He was a dick and it looked like he had every opportunity to let the faster (in turns and braking, obviously not in straight line) car by. Think Patterson was suffering from butt hurt syndrome getting passed by a less powerful car. I read on Jalop he had an incident earlier and his aero was messed up making the car not work in turns and braking, knowing that he should have gotten out the way, in my ( not an expert totally amateur) opinion.
On the other hand, who posts a video and cries like that, totally unprofessional too. Couldn't he just got in his face after the race and worked it out with a conversation or if the civil approach doesn't work a fist to the face would help...

Actually that's a no class move, stupid to risk then wreck car when you are laps down, unless you start magically moving thru the field, what is the point.

Mike, I'm not saying it is. That was a bad example. What I'm trying to say is the drivers will always fight to maintain their line. Getting around is the other guy's business.

Anyhow I thought I need to post up some Nationals pics of me and Shoe in grid

Bigs thanks to David Wampler for documenting our Nationals experience! Autocross ain't a game to Shoe and I, these pics prove it. Ish is SERIOUS.. Bringing the crazy to grid, Philly style. I was friqqin running up and down grid before my runs to calm down, really helped me focus. Not sure whats up with my facial expressions in some of these shots????
Last picture there is a truck blocking Shoe from getting back to grid to blanket the tires trying to keep heat in them. Needless to say I cursed that person out when they got near me. Many f-bombs were dropped, they got out of the way after that..
Sorry for the large pictures, but I never get to ruin a page in these threads, thought I would start now...
Cool pics, bra. I am hoping there will be another edited video of your adventures.

LS1, LS3 & LS6's are bullet proof. the Ls7's have issues with the needle bearings in the rocker arms ending up in the oil pan.

Totally agree when your still in the race, when you are multiple laps down with a car that is not working right because of a previous incident in race, why not move out the way if you are slower. I barely watch any racing and I have seen that many times, called class and having a respect for competitors.
If car was working right and he was moving thru field getting back into it, then I agree with your statement, just not under those circumstances.

i agree with mike, especially when they're not even racing in the same class, he's not giving up class position if he let the LMP2 car by. like they say, if there's a car behind you, he didn't just drop out of the sky, he's there because he's faster.

How's this for dirty racing? (I know I posted it before). This is basically how all the Australian V8 Supercars races end just not so much bumping. Markus Ambrose is from that series in case nobody knew that.

^ awesome video. really gets me pumped for this weekend!

you guys who are coming are in for one hell of an event and those of you who are doing this for the first time its gonna be hard to top the feeling the glen has. there is a real good reason why that track has been around so long and why so many different racing series run there and you's are about to find out first hand.
