PCD: Last year's version
May have misled you. I'm not actually on a budget, just don't see the value in a $1500 clutch. The help is really appreciated (by me).
Of course, $300 to save one lb seems a bit overkill. The comp STU flywheel is on sale too ... for like $150.

Well, there you go. Sounds like you've got it all worked out.
I think the next clutch I buy will be the Carbonetics single with push conversion! I would have bought it if I didn't have the Exedy single sitting in my basement.

if you're not on a budget then why not go with a tilton tripple disc carbon setup. It might be a 'touch' overkill, but it will get you mad street cred points at the meats.
I'm sure I'm in the miniority here, but ff I were staying stockish power levels and didn't have any issues with the OEM setup I'd stick with that... especially if you're going to use your car for DD and the occasional autox. As long as you don't overheat the clutch by doing back to back to back launches it should last a very long time and be butter smooth all day err day.

my stock clutch lasted a long *** time. I got over 45k miles, a bunch of autox's and close to 200 1/4mile passes on it before it began to slip on meh. It only started slipping because I did 6 or 7 back to back 1.7 - 60's at Island without letting it cool. I drove it around for a couple thousand miles after the slipping started and was able to re-bed the disc, making it not slip anymore, but the dealer was going to replace the trans in my car due to a p0300 code and said I could put a new clutch while the trans was out in if I paid for the R&R labor, so it was a no brainer. I got the exedy twin installed for $80 at the dealer
The OEM replacements aren't cheaper. I may use your logic for the flywheel. I have no troubles downshifting, nor do I ever launch.
not trying to talk you out of getting a new, fancy clutch. Just playing devils advocate.
Any reason why you can't just resurface your current FW/PP and throw a fresh OEM disc in there?

also, i don't want to hear "upgrade the driver", i know you're thinking it

I wasn't even thinking that. More along the lines of KISS and save some dough. If you didn't have plans for more power, that is. Since you're looking to up the boost then I'd say go with the tilton triple carbon disc.
