^ racing is still fun when there's no poison in the atmosphere. we all have fun at the track, if it wasn't fun, we wouldn't be going back for more. the smack talking on here is just to extend the fun that we have on track. but some people take that to heart and thinks its a personal jab at them.

Tuner- 5.1.2 Section A
Mention no swap to an engine like IX Mivec. Usually if not mentioned than it's not permissible. Engine that came with car is the only variant that should be used. Kinda like SCCA Stock class

Modified- class 5.2.2 Section C
Model, which would be Evo 8 03-05, and not Evo 9 though they have the same chassis..CT9A

RTA rule is loosely define for the engine rule in even Modified. 03-05 model is Evo8 but Evo7-9 is still a CT9A chassis. Meaning only the IX should have a Mivec motor. Unless motor update falls into update/backdate rule for whole "chassis". Just like backdate/update engine does for SCCA SP. But seeing as a Modified FWD class EF hatch has GSR motor I'm going to say Evo9 motor in Evo8 is legal for Modified class but not Tuner.

Aero
Tuner- 5.1.10 Section A
Splitter has increase advantage and is not stated in the allowance, if not stated it's usually not allowed.

Modified- 5.2.10 Section D
Under here it is stated as an allowance up to 5"

Just those 2 things that stand out to me. I'm sure you didn't have bad intentions doing Tuner Class the last 2 times. Just pointing it out and being that there were no entries it wasn't a big deal.

Take it to heart. I didn't come here talking smack and I didn't start this BS. It was the opinions of guys with lesser experience with the backing of friends who have more experience that has fed this frenzy from one track day, yet the track day in the Mini everything was kosher. Real talk, I acknowledge my faults and things I need to work on to get faster. But the delivery of criticism is key, don't come out of your face with anything else but pointers and tips and everything would be just fine. Don't question ones skills unless you're a pro driver with 1000s of hours on track, I acknowledge your time on track with the Evo and s2k but I have the choice what to take from that and incorporate into my routine.

If it's a joke then fine, make it seem like it, I'm good at reading sarcasm on the internet. I can clearly tell who is genuine and who is not on forum and in person.

I went from 1:26.567 to 1:22.027 get your facts straight. 4.5 seconds faster, give me 50 more hp and RS3, I'm sure I would of went a lot faster on a course like Lightning.

This conversation needs to chill the f*ck out. I think this got a little out of control with alot of people just focusing their energy on one guy. Even though I think Nelson likes to talk alot and may make excuses, you don't see me ripping the guy apart for what he says. Sometimes you can just ignore what you hear and focus on the good of the situation.

Everyone has made excuses before. Heck remember when I got a raging boner during PCD affecting my focus? Marc- you even said it yourself that you kinda went a little harsh after trackdaze on the forums here.

When I started getting into real driving I was happy to have you guys who were supportive when I drove. I remember Marc even saying how great I did for a first time even though I was slow ( but still beat Dan roofles). You will always hear people having excuses, but you guys should be USED TO IT.

if you're talking about autox, i wouldn't go doing any victory laps over that "accomplishment." your first autox was like my second autox. i really don't think i have much for anyone who routinely does autox but then i've gotten a lot of track time since i last did an autox so who knows....

 

I know you were fairly new to it as well.

either way my first event I drove like a complete idiot.

 

my very first event, i couldn't stay on course for any run and the worst part was that i couldn't tell you where i went off so my next few events my goal was to stay on course and that was a nguyen for me.


ok full disclosure: ever since i beat chu (when codriving with Reading Tim) at CBP, he's been paying me to stay away from autox entirely. he'll probably deny it but you'll just have to believe me.....

 

Things to do before WGI...

Flip tires
Install braided lines and complete brake flush
Replace all drivetrain fluids
Change Oil
Buy more propane for grill (hopefully find steel threaded bottle)
Buy more lube for sleep overs with Marc
Get an STD test
