To each his own for the thrill factor. I know I get a rush from autox, both from driving the car at 10/10 to 11/10 ( and saving the run) and from the close competition. At nats, there were 6 of us withing a few hundreths of a second. Going back and forth with other drivers
and pushing for that 0.001 is where it's at for me.

i know, i'm not busting on autox, just that pcd has been boring lately.
competing at national level is totally different than local. but these fools thinks they haz mad killz cause they nguyen local event or local champ. imma just trying to put them in they place.

also, one of the reason why i still do autox is to be able to drive 10/10 or 11/10, something that i'm not comfortable at doing on track or willing to risk it.

I have a 3D TV (Samsung Series 8 55" LED 240 Hz). I got this to replace a 27" Sony CRT TV. It's great if you're watching a lot of 3D movies, but I don't think it's worth the hype since I'm watching the regular stuff 99% of the time.

also, most 3D TV use active shutter which requires charging and the glasses are expensive. LG has passive polarize glasses that are cheap and no batteries. some says the passive system is not as bright as the active ones but i tried them out at the store and didn't notice the difference.

my dream setup would be a DLP projector with 3D.

DLP Projectors suck cuz most create a "rainbow effect" when watching and it is quite annoying.

That's what I enjoy about it. Knowing what u need to do, say on your last run, and going out and setting a fast time is a great feeling.

^ that's the old DLP where they use single chip and color wheel to get all colors. More expensive units like the ones they use in movie theaters use 3 chips for 3 colors. My samsung DLP use one chip and 3 separate LED for 3 colors, no rainbow effects. My old dlp did have color wheel and some friend did mention rainbow effects when moving your eyes fast across the screen but I never noticed it. I don't think you can get dlp with color wheels anymore though, they are pretty old tech.

I gotz the 2005 Sony 3lcd projection, 55". I've thought about buying something else, but my ish still works fine so it's hard to justify. I had to replace the bulb once about 3 yrs ago, no issues other than that, never noticed any crazy rainbow ish.

I think I'm going to buy Apple TV. I don't have a wifi tv but I do use my phone to stream Netflix and Hulu on the tv. It's pretty inexpensive and stupidly easy to set up. If you don't have an apple device like an iPad or iPhone there probably isn't much attractive to Apple TV. I basically can wirelessly stream anything that's playing on my phone to the TV.

I use my phone for errthing by the way. I don't even use a standard computer anymore.

I have an apple tv. It's pretty sweet for us, because we have iphones and an ipad. It also streams from itunes on your computer. I have my stereo connected to the optical output and can play my phone's music from anywhere in the house and control it while I walk around.

Back to subs... I have an infinity PS-12 that is underutilized upstairs. I have the amp about 2/3 up on the sub, and I usually have the gain control in the receiver turned all the way down (especially when the little one is sleeping at night). I was thinking of moving it downstairs and getting a smaller/cheaper one for the upstairs system. The price on that BIC unit isn't bad, though. $200 on amazon and 475watt.

I might just move my 300w infinity down whenever I get it all set up. Then if that is not "enough" for the room down there, I can get a more powerful unit. If it enough, then I can get something smaller for upstairs.
