In other news, we pulled Foren's motor on Saturday. Was quick enough that we had time to grill for lunch. Guy does not know how to handle his sausage. Janet also hooked it up with some nookie.....I mean cookie.

It's amazing that these cars are basically designed for these types of pile ups. Most race cars like LMP car are supposed to break apart while the caged driver is kept safe. These stock cars barely have the body parts knocked off of them.

^The cars aren't build the same. LMP, newer Australian Supercar, F1, DTM, etc, are built around a monocoque. NASCAR style cages be mad strong though. Watch the video of the Deltawing flipping over, sliding, and nothing happened to the driver.

Nascar tracks have safety barriers and they often hit them at low angle, not head on. And when they hit other cars, they are going at similar speed and direction, they just bounce off each other. The most dangerous situation would be getting air born and into the catch fence cause its like a cheese grater
Still. Having a car land on you at 200 mph can't be pretty. Granted they are moving at relatively the same speed and they all slow down at the same rate, so impact wouldn't be like hitting a brick wall, it's still some serious ****.
