Quote: High five Grillo for doing NARRA! Does Marc get credit for this?
He does... He planted the seed about instructing at WGI when they were there last week, so I said effe it and signed up for NJMP.

Yeah he is.

Quote: Nick isn't sure if he can make this. The z06 has a slight oil leak at the front main seal and his new vette needs to be prepped. Knowing him he'll get it all down, but it will be down to the wire.

I have nothing booked yet... do it up, son. yeah-yeah!

All I did was plant the seed.
Aight, I'll call tonight.

Quote: ^You get to plant the seed in Grillo at the hotel as a reward. BOOM!...
Turn up the A/C, bro!

Quote: If I hear one more god damn thing about your rolla or your commute to work I'm gonna kick your poolboy in the mouth.
My poolboy likes it rough.

I just put new tires on the rolla. They have like no traction but I'm pretty sure I could dominate NARRA this June if it rains.

Quote: Anyone want to change the coolant in my rolla? I just reviewed its service history from when it was my wife's car and realized the coolant is 10 years old with 170k miles on it.
No need to change the coolant and pollute the environment. If its not sludgy then its fine as long as your car is not running hot.

This is what comes out of my catch can after I let it settle and the oil separate from the water.

See how much oil to water ratio there are.

The new biodegradeable plasticware is pretty cool. It takes 4-6 weeks for them to fully degrade.

Did chu just call me a fu(ktard?

Oil out of the ground is some nasty ish, thats why mother earth keeps it burried. By your logic the DeepWater Horizon accident in the gulf was no big deal.

I am all for car control sessions where you let the back hang out...my point was specifically regarding how Marc looped, crossed the track, then re-looped to cross the track backwards...makes it tough for following cars to predict where you are going to go and why we teach/preach/practice "In a spin, both feet in." That's all...controlled drift sessions are great (I need more time doing that).

Quote: My other comment was regarding classroom session with trackdaze at lightning last year where Colon kept comparing turn 5 at tbolt with turn 7 at lightning "because they are so similar." The only thing they have in common is the direction of the turn. I never nearly run out of track at T5 at tbolt. That's a hard turn to **** up (outside of dropping wheels on exit). Turn 7 at lightning is a *****. It's hard to decide where to be on braking/turn in and what is too early or late. The only time I realize I did it well is when I either catch someone or stay with someone and I can bury my right foot on exit and not worry about getting agricultural.
T5 at Thunderbolt and T7 at Lightning do have a lot in common...a little abstract art to show the two corners:

Lightning T7 is in blue, Thunderbolt T5 is gray, the green square is just to show the angles. LT7 is a true 90 while TT5 is a little less. To get TT5 right you late apex it. To get LT7 right you classic it. Classic apexii are far rarer on track or autocross where just about everything is late...I can only think of a few classic apex turns at tracks I've been to (WGI T11 [onto the front straight]) and it took me 1.5 hours of continuous driving before I started to get it right.

Another, less obvious issue with LT7 is there are fewer visual references...TT5 is crowded with ARMCO, which helps guide your eyes the right direction down the track, while LT7 is really wide open at exit.
