Free professional iRacing advice here. Seems like you're not tracking out enough but could also be camera pov.

line looks good to me. only place it looks like you're having trouble is T7. on the first lap you turned in good, but didn't track out, then on the second lap you turned in way too early. Other than that all you need to do is add more speed, which will come once you're more comfortable.

Nate, everything I say below I say as an instructor, and is not meant to demean you, but is intended to help you improve as a driver. Critiquing after the fact is hard because you can't go and apply that new data to feel the difference.

Deep breath...(that's for you, not me)

You opened the video saying you want to work on braking...what aspect of braking were you working on? Trying to use less? Using more? Finding threshold? Obviously we only have a couple laps to critique here, but it looks to me that you are over braking and doing that too early all the time.

My notes from the laps shown:
L1
T1: Track out more
T2: Leave a car width on the right all the way through
T4: Track out more
T5: Track out more
T7: Too much brake, too slow through apex

L2:
T1: Better, still use more at track out
T2: Same as L1
T4: Track out more
T5: Track out more
T7: Too early on brakes, early turn in

I think some of the "track out more" will happen when you carry more speed through apex, but you still need to be on line while driving slower so your get that muscle memory and visual memory of where to place the car while at speed.

Did you have an instructor? What was he telling you during those laps?

----------------------------

And while I am in critique mode: I wanted to also mention, Alwaysslidingbackwardsacrossthetrack: Next time you over rotate, lock that isht down quick like...that back and forth stuff across the track will get you hit in traffic.

^ I hear chu. I wouldn't be messing around like that if I was in real traffic. I knew who was behind me and wasn't worried about getting t-boned. We all went out together that shession with the intention of sliding around and getting it on vid... its just that some of us alwayshavetotakeitoofar.

trust me, i want the critique. basically everything you said is what the instructor was saying. this was the third session and at the point i was starting to get frustrated with myself so my consistency went out the window. my braking was characterized as too much on/off and needs more progression, which i started trying to do. i honestly think i had some track out issues in places because i was still trying to train my brain/eyes to trust/follow the curb

if turn 7 was a person i would want to stab it in the eye repeatedly with a sharp object. i could not get it right at all, so i was trying to move my braking around to figure it out...and never got it.

if yo uturn up the volume you can hear the damn brake shudder i had again also, which certainly did not help. i need to get back there soon and just turn some more laps.
