PCD: 2013-2014 Till We Break It Edition
^ I hear chu. I wouldn't be messing around like that if I was in real traffic. I knew who was behind me and wasn't worried about getting t-boned. We all went out together that shession with the intention of sliding around and getting it on vid... its just that some of us alwayshavetotakeitoofar.

[heygetoffmylawn]I only mention it because if I am running in a group of people I trust, I'd expect that if someone in front of me looped it like that, that they lock it down and not come back across the track...there is so little margin for playing around especially in a pack and even more so in the wet. It's one thing if you are the only person on the track but if there is anyone else around...messing around can ruin lots of people's day real quick.[/heygetoffmylawn]
^and that is why I don't go karting with chu guys.
trust me, i want the critique. basically everything you said is what the instructor was saying. this was the third session and at the point i was starting to get frustrated with myself so my consistency went out the window. my braking was characterized as too much on/off and needs more progression, which i started trying to do. i honestly think i had some track out issues in places because i was still trying to train my brain/eyes to trust/follow the curb
if turn 7 was a person i would want to stab it in the eye repeatedly with a sharp object. i could not get it right at all, so i was trying to move my braking around to figure it out...and never got it.
if yo uturn up the volume you can hear the damn brake shudder i had again also, which certainly did not help. i need to get back there soon and just turn some more laps.

thats total BS... you don't go karting because you don't wanna get whooped!
all valid points. except for the karting comment. Believe me, if we were running close #1 I wouldn't be sliding the car on purpose and #2 if I did slide and I felt I couldn't recover it would be both feet in, none of that hero ****. BTW, don't know if you noticed, but both times I looped it on track I was able to bring it back around straight. Thats some Ronin level ish rite thur.

Here is some video of me in a SpecE30 at Lightning to give you an idea of where you need to be on the track.

all parts but the trans are here. dynotech said they could do the clutch and everything plus 60k service in max 2 weeks...
Foren told me when the *** steps out jump on the loud pedal, corrects itself every time. I'm starting to wonder if that's sound advice? *head scratch*
I hate T7 as well, never get that ish right...

Foren and I turned my Evo into a VTA beast today courtesy of a $.90 plug from Lowe's. Thanks for the idea Thai. Just in time to get thrown out of LRP in 2 weeks for decibel violation!
Alwayshavingparthtrottlesurge --> Getspeeddensity. Pissed off I waited this long and I blame all of you for not pushing me harder

Way too much early braking in DE there. Trail brake, get in for a tight apex and if you didn't see a dust cloud on exit, get on throttle earlier. if you're a bowse, you left foot brake it and jump on throttle before the apex for exit rotation. I've timed this right a few times and it's slick. Not enough practice --> inconsistent.
In the wet, brake in the center lane, little traction to the outside and get ready to get on throttle.

That being said I highly recommend practicing this at lower speeds in the wet in a [B]safe area![B] I found a huge wet parking lot 2 days after I bought the car and tried some 60 mph slides

I spun a bunch of times before I figured this out. Make sure the front tires are pointing in the direction that you want the car to travel and be smooth. I've gone sideways in the grass around turn 1 at Limerock with the back of the car inches(probably feet but the puckering of my a$$ makes it hard to judge distance) from the armco and safely put the car back on track(always check for other traffic when driving like a fool).
