Nate, don't listen to these hoes. Look what kuntor did. He tried to track a 650 whp vette, then got rid of it cause it was too much to handle. Then got an evo and dump all kinds of mods into it to track. Then that was too much to handle and he put it back to stock. And that was still too much to handle and he got rid of it for a slower e36. Next he will downgrade to a miata then bicycle then skateboard then heelys shoes.

I did follow your advice. Started with 4" and wound up with a final dimension somewhere around 2 1/2". Car was very well balanced with stock wing.

If you want to be like Thai then spend money to add sticky tires more power and lots of aero to make up for lack of skill. If you want to learn to drive and improve your skill then seat time, seat time, seat time would be what you should spend your money on.

Got my video of the first session (train) uploading now. Second session with more better open track is going to follow.

I liked the new layout. Still tons more time left there. Rallo was talling me some places to pickup time but I didn't get a chance to put it to use since I bailed after 4 out of 6 sessions once my student was solo. He was about to drive my car in session 5 but that nascar blew up just as we were heading out.

I was really looking forward to to 5 the session too. Staged the car early to get clean traffic. Was right behind that nascar when he blew up and dumped oil in the north course. Could have been bad if he dumped oil on the bank when I was behind him.

I wasn't going to stick around for the tri-oval either. Been there, done that. No thanks!

Made it home by 6pm for my neighbors 3yr old b-day party. You know 3yr old parties are the bomb. Had some slammin pulled pork and fresh fruit salad, kicked a bunch of 3-5yr old *** then passed out @ 9:15, lol.

^ Nice video Thai, looks like you have a lot of head room but sadly that is only on driver side, that weird.

nope, mods mods mods and slicks for next year!!!

kidding. engine/suspension is staying as is...trying to make some other small tweaks since the car feels very good lately since i got the brakes sorted, especially considering i was in "tuner class" and beat everyone in "tuner mod" class yesterday including an evo who as far as i know ran a session on hoho's, and a 2011 sti on r888's. i think that the weird rear end shimmy i have under heavy braking is a work bushing issue (hopefully).

evo rears just dance under heavy braking unless you're on glass smooth/level ground. Nature of the beast with such a front heavy car that gets mad light in the rear when you're trying to slow down. Once you add that splitter the feeling will be magnified. On the good side it makes trail-braking that much easier. Just twitch the wheel a little bit and the rear will step out.

That was session two. Feel like I smoothed out my line and picked up a good bit of time since then. only place I really like my line is the first couple of turns on the north infield. The south infield and T1 have much more time/speed on the table.

Would love to have another shot at that course... hopefully more clubs will follow in HOD's footsteps.

thats what i was afraid of. side project has been finding a way to remove weight off the nose somehow.

Don't remove front weight, add more rear weight.

but adding weight will slow me down if its not in the form of downforce. theres only maybe 15-20 pounds to be taken off the front at a cost of like $500 anyway.

Remove front crash beam, FREE
Replace stocker for DEKA with homemade brackets, $75.
Relocate battery to trunk with said DEKA, +$60

Less than $500 and sufficiently moved weight off the front.

Putting the stock intercooler back on will free up some weight, put money back in your pocket for other mods too.
