I pick up my Evo almost 3 weeks ago......yesterday I found a paint chip on my trunk and the worst is it already RUST
I know ppl had rust problem at the rear bumper support.....but mine is ON the trunk...and you can actually see it from standing behind the car


I called the dealership which I bought the car (they are in CT, 100 mile from nyc) and they told me I can contact my local dealership and they should be ablen to handle the problem.

my question is: whicht dealership you guys would suggest me to go in NYC area?

I just hope the local dealership will resolve the problem, otherwise the next person I will call will be Mitsu North America !!

You can take it to Potamkin Mistsubishi, that's where i got my car from and they've been good with me as far as service is concerned. I crashed my lancer and took it to them to get fixed and had it back in a week.

 

how you like the way they fix your car? like the quality of the paint job?

 

i really hope they dont pick it at with a toothpick and then just fill the rock chip and give it back to you heh

 

I called 4 dealership and NONE of them want to take my car

will call the selling dealership and see what they say !!

 

I say call Mitsu North America ... man I am positive that I have rust on my rear bumper

 

the work was as good as new bro.

 

Inside or ouside? I'm NOT surprise ppl have rust inside the bumper. If you ever lift up your car.....you will see the factory did not put enough under body rust-proof coating at the end of the rear bumper.

 

Inside...there was a long thread about it that Alfriedesq started up, and that many many people showed pics of rust when their bumpers where taken off

 

rust protection on ur evo for 5 years right?

 

yeah.....something like that.

but my problem here is some chipped paint (turn to rust)......I believe is either the dealership mis-handle the car or defect from the factory.
