well the weakest link is pistons, that would be the best place to start.

ECU is the real problem, cant remember who reported that. Has something to do with not compensating for the NOS and letting the engine run too lean. Run a search. As far as horsepower goes, bolt ons will get you some, but if you have the money go with the RRM turbo. Most power you will get, in one easy step....

NOS could be the worst idea for a daily driver...But if you have time to reinforce your engine, and constantly replace/work on things go for it. I think Boe blew his engine up a couple of times with a 50 shot of NOS (not very big). Spend your $800 on something more productive.

Yes Boe blew 2 motors, he now has the RRM turbo in his ride, he says it's way better than NOS, the turbo is very nice, I've ridden in his car a few times, very impressive!

NOS is cheap horsepower. You only use it when needed, doesnt affect your gas mileage in daily driving and dont have the complications of additional plumbing, cooling and installation of a turbo. I don't know much about the Lancer's pistons, but if your motor can take it (I used it on my Accord V6) I recommend it, as long as you keep it a safe spray level (50 shot). Also cost wise, NOS plus install is a fraction of a turbo, not to mention possible ECU and A/F ratio problems with an aftermarket turbo.

Yeah but I would rather have power all the time, not just in shots. Who is gonna be riding around on the street firing that stuff off....it's crazy. now if you just wanted this for the track it would be a different story. Myself I would just go and get a turbo kit. NOS is known to fry a lancer pretty good. Look up the posts as mentioned before...I believe it was entitled NOS is bad.
