Cant wait to get that ticket!

Well, maybe you can enforce it on June 10th when the law goes into effect? Or do you want to get a leg-up on the competition and get them now?

If the officer enforcing it is anything like the trooper that committed perjury during my last ticket he will just cross out "today's date" and insert "June 10" and it will be juuuuuuust fine with the judge.

"Starting on June 10, police can immediately pull over someone for texting or talking without a headset and give them a $124 ticket."

Just another reason to love PA!

Nah, but really, that sucks! I'm sick of idiot morons screwing stuff up for everyone else. Although I am curious as to how they're going to enforce the law if your using an ipod/mp3 player, or other electronic device. Nowadays, what actually qualifies as a phone? lol.

IDK. I haven't heard anything about it, there for, the law doesn't exist! Not that I watch the news to know. lol.

Actually, from what I've read, atleast in PA, it only bans drivers under the age of 18. I'm 20

I'm all for this law, and I'd love to see stiffer penalties for txting while driving. Holy hell people, 3,000 LBS! Anyone see the article about hte (blkevo) where 200,000 accidents a year is caused by txting? I'd bet it's catching drunk driving like an Evo catches a Miata on a roadcourse

brother I've gotten a taste of this...WTF??!hard to defend yourself in a court that allows perjury.

on topic though this is example of legislating everyone for the benefit of all of the stupid people in the world....if someone is stupid enough to text while driving and decide that not looking at the road for an extended period of time is a good idea, then maybe they should rid the world of their presence....

I sure hope all of the cops that I see driving while talking on their phones, texting, and typing on their computers decide that they should follow this law too

So basically a cop can pull you over whenever he wants now and he can just say he thought he saw you texting??

No different than him says you were 'swerving' within your lane. If a cop wants to pull you over, he really doesnt need an excuse.

^And in the event of a female officer, do not assume she wanted your phone number. She will NOT find that funny nor will it get you out of a ticket.
