Bulb size chart (LED ready)

Low beam:
With OEM HID D2R Reports of D2S in 2013+ vehicles, please double check your bulb before ordering
With OEM HALOGEN H11 You must order H11 based HID's if doing a conversion, D2R will NOT work

High beam: 9005

Fog: H11

Front markers: 168

Turn signals (front and rear): 7440

License plate: 168

Reverse: 921

Front fender sidemarker: 168 Unconfirmed, Service Manual claims the bulbs are not replaceable, that the entire unit must be swapped out

Trunk: 3022 (30mm festoon) Burtonrider1002's '11 SE AWC has a 168 bulb, check yours before ordering

Map/dome: 3175 (31mm festoon)

Tail/brake lights are incorporated LED

License plate bulbs you want a forward facing or 360 degree, the bulbs point downwards into the housings, onto the plate. If you go 360 degree, line the inside of the housing with either aluminum foil or white tape, not sure which one works best yet but I've tried foil which had a clean, even spread of light.

I'm personally more fan of the 5k white which will match the oem bmw/lexus/etc white. The 6k white seems to be a bit blue and doesn't output as bright.

I recommend using products from www.vleds.com
Be mindful of their "output rating" scale to determine which to buy.

OP's links to his recommendations no longer worked due to V-LED's changing their website around.

Also an option is to modify an H9 bulb to work in your H11 socket for more light output: http://udanis.com/h11-to-h9-headlight-conversion/

Do you have any pics that you can post with the lights on so we can see them in action?

I installed the LEDs in my cars interior this evenining and it was quite simple. Just use a small flat head screwdriver and pop out the plastic cover. Remove your light bulb and replace. All done. It made a HUGE difference.

Also, I ordered a pair of dome lights, reverse lights, and license plate lights from V-LED's. Shipping is VERY reasonable! Most places still charge an obsurd amount for little items, but my total was $3.XX for shipping to 60612.

The reverse lights I bought are on clearance right now for $17 a pair. That is a REALLY good price for 921 bulbs. SuperbrightLEDs has them for about $17 EACH. Reviews on them were excellent also. With my dark tint I could use the extra lighting when backing.

I'm excited, and I'll try to post some before/after pics or vids for you guys.

Well... bragging is cool and all, but a how-to on how to build them or an offer to sell them would be more useful. As-is I don't have the time, knowledge, or resources to build my own bulbs. Due to this, the V-LED's seem like the best option. If you have a better solution that is still cost effective and doesn't negate my reasons above, I'm all ears, because those do look nice and bright.

V-LEDs installed, will post a better review late tonight. First off, the interior map light bulbs are amazing, even though I accidentally ordered the wrong ones. I meant to order the "high output" ones, but somehow grabbed the regular ones instead. That actually makes these things MORE impressive in my book, I'd imagine the high output ones are just fantastic. The fit is a little bit tight, but wow are they brighter and better. Day it's noticeable, but at night it's amazing. I will get the H/O for my center roof light and report back on the difference

THESE 921 reverse bulbs suck IMO. I think my stockers were brighter. These will be removed and returned. Luckily they took about 45 seconds per bulb. Next I'm going to do the license plate bulbs, I just gotta figure out how to get the cover off them.

license plate light housings come off by pushing the whole housing to the passenger side to release the tab on the drivers side and then let it drop down.

Oh, yeah, sorry, I figured that out after posting. I just saw the "tabs" on the one end and assumed it needed to be pushed/bent with a screwdriver, but I didn't want to break anything lol.

Thanks though!

Left is OEM, right is LED. I can take a picture of it with both LED's in if you want.

(please forgive the dirty car, I actually wash it at least twice a week, these were taken during a snowstorm lol)
