49. New Lift Gate and Paint
The Misses had a little incident with a pole in a parking garage despite the back up camera. The damage doesn't look as bad as it really is. The paint was peeling along the two crumbled body lines. No way to save the lift gate unless we used body filler which I did not want. PDR was also not an option as the structure was compromised. Ended up ordering a complete new lift gate from Mitsubishi. The hatch was about $800, paint was $400, labor was $400 and $200 tax.
I still have the Mitsubishi letters from before but want to let the paint cure longer before replacing any emblems. I'm on the fence about the fully shaved look, but maybe that will change?

50. Curt Class III Hitch
Thanks to the write up from all the OG members on here (you know who you are), I ordered myself a Curt hitch as well. I think this will be especially beneficial aside from carrying our bikes and skis to prevent any more parking lot incidents after having to replace the lift gate from my previous post.

Looks good!
Personally,, I like a shaved rear. (don't go there)
I got the hitch back off mine after trading it in, but it won't work on the Big O. Looks like I'm gonna have to sell it. but your RVR looks good........

Thanks man! Darn, I wish I knew earlier or I would have loved to pick up your old hitch off of you.

Yes and no. I consider them plug and play because it does plug in and you're pretty much good to go. The running of the wire is from the outside lights to power the hatch lights so you can carry the light strip across. I suppose you could also tap power from the license plate lights if you don't want to run it around the top and into the hatch. It's not as bad as it sounds though. The end result is well worth the effort.

51. Pioneer TS-A1674R Speakers
A friend very graciously donated these to replace the stock speakers in all four doors. I do not have the RF package so this has always been on my mind. The speakers are Pioneer TS-A1674R 6.5" all around. I don't listen to music at high volumes so there isn't too much of a noticeable improvement from daily driving. I figure it's more for the brand since I'm a Pioneer *****.
Here are the stockers:
Seemed to hold up ok at 15W:
I had to order new rings to fit the door. These twist in like the original speakers and the Pioneer just screws into the ring:
Final shot before dusting the speakers off with a little compressed air and replacing the door panels back in place:

52. Go Rhino 360B Hitch Step
To follow up on the new Curt hitch I recently installed. Here is another addition for added insurance and my peace of mind. Having to replace the lift gate and repaint is not always an easy pill to swallow.
There are three positions and this is set to be the closest to the bumper:
Anti-rattle device included and can be seen on the bottom here:

Speakers are definitely on my "to-do" list. I don't listen to loud music often, but I do drive at 70-75 MPH often, and with the windows down the road noise and wind are loud enough to make the stock speakers struggle to keep up.
That bumper looks great! I wanted one of those, but was too cheap to pay for the name brand.

Agreed, speakers are definitely in the top 5 of things to do for mine. Putting in a higher quality speaker makes a world of difference. Especially when you have a head unit with a proper equalizer in it.
