14. Ralli Art Oil Cap
I picked up a Ralli Art oil cap for fun while traveling. I was told there are two versions, with the old design having a black ring but would chip and fade quickly. The solid color is to refrain from premature wear and tear, so I opted for the solid color in red. I also picked up an HKS oil cap at the same time as I wasn't sure which I liked more, but I think the Ralli Art is better suited.

Stock and untouched. We'll see how long this lasts.

Profile shot of the stock cap with the Ralli Art cap.

Nice and simple install.

15. LM Strut Caps
Another trinket I picked up while on vacation are these caps that screw into place on top of the strut assemblies.

The point is to prevent the top of the strut from corroding when exposed to water over time.

The inside of the cap is threaded to the same pitch so it just turns into place for a secure fit. It keeps water and dirt out, plus looks pretty cool in my opinion.

It's a pretty close match to the Ralli Art oil cap as well, so I'm glad it fits with the overall theme.

Sorry Wes, I wanted to check out the hood struts over there but none of them were up to par in terms of quality. I couldn't trust working under the hood with the struts to lose a couple fingers!
my HKS oil cap from my genesis wont fit because of the way the valve cover is shaped, the ralliart one you have is taller and not wide like the HKS. How much did you pay for the oil cap and strut caps if you don't mind me asking?

OP,
THANK YOU for the detailed photos! Very helpful.
(At least we all know our stock stereos do not have any pre-outs of any kind now..)
Nice oil cap and strut-nub covers! They spruce up the look of our plain engine bay nicely!.
I'll need to get myself a set.
@Wes,
You are Obsessed with those hood struts! You realized I haven't forgotten about them or you.
I am trying to fabricate custom brackets for those bimmer gas struts I've got. Patience my friend...
(Like Infected have stated, there's plenty of hood strut accessories out there, but believe you me if you ever have a hood come down on your finger(s)/hand... You would definitely want to make sure they are solid units BEFORE you put them on your vehicle or anybody elses.)

The oil cap came to around $35 and the caps were around $5 a piece.

@Infected..
After staring at that fancy oil cap for abit.. it's really growing on me. Why couldn't you have brought back the whole "rainbow" assortment of them?!
I think the blue or titanium would look pretty good in my black engine bay.
