Front Speaker Adapter

So I have been working on upgrading the system in my OS, and Crutchfield is telling me that these https://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SAS...s.html?tp=2824 AND these https://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SAM...s.html?tp=2824

both work in the front doors.

Does anyone know which one is correct for sure?

Thanks!

Hey there, Welcome to the forum!

Hard to say for certain and it really depends on the new speakers you're trying to install..
But, you can take a look at my photos and get an idea of what you're dealing with behind the front door panels > (Scrolling down to the last three photos to see what the OEM door speakers adapters look like.)

IF I had to guess, I'd say the Scosche SAMI651 looks pretty close to ours, but don't quote me on it...

Welcome to the forum. The website you provided says it fits to your vehicle.
However, some of the reviewers complained that the item did not fit. Check them out. "The do not work at all with the 6.5" speakers I purchased in my 2005 accord. Speakers will not fit due to cage and they do not line up at all in the door."
"These are very very cheaply made. They do not fit properly on an 03 Honda Accord despite what the site says. Only two of the three mounting points will line up. I managed to make them work, but I wasn't happy with them."
If you are not sure you may also go to:
http://www.car-speaker-adapters.com/...earch_consumer
According to this site the model SAK 107 fits and can accommodate 6 1/2" diameter speakers.
Before you replace your speakers though I strongly recommend that you should apply sound deadening materials (if you have not done so). It makes a huge difference. Your stock speakers will no longer sound like soda cans. If you are an audiophile you most likely need upgraded speakers on top but not instead.
Here is a nice video how to do sound deadening on a OS (the example is in German but the video is self-explanatory):

Good luck!

The 6.5 scorched is confirmed to work with the OS as myself and other OS have been using those for years. OEM size is 6.5
