Hello. I'm in the market for a new 2024 OS top line trim with the 2.4L.

A couple of questions:

1. Is the 2.4 a GDI engine?
2. Can the CVT fluid change be DIY after complimentary period?
3. How powerful is the blower motor on the HVAC system?
4. Does the SEL come with a sunroof?

I'd rather ask here than walk into a dealer blind and be subjected to any predatory sales pitches.

Nope if your referring to the 4B12

Yeah and I would recommend every 25k fuild swap and filters (yes there are 2 of them every 50k)

The CVT is the most expensive and problematic part in your car in my opinion. That's why I opted for a manual transmission but it stopped being available after 2019 in US markets.

3. How powerful is the blower motor on the HVAC system?

What kind of questions is this? It has no logic. What are you asking as a frame of reference. It will keep you cool in summer traffic but you cannot use it as an additional meat freezer.

4. Does the SEL come with a sunroof?

Thanks for the detailed reply ASX Billy. I just bought my OS SEL model 3 weeks ago. Actually in the US model there is NO sunroof option, even in the top of the line version which I have. That's unfortunate but I suppose no critical electronics to go awry out of warranty. The 2007+ 4B12 looks to be a long lived mass produced engine, between the 2nd Gen Lancer and all generations of the PS, so I'm not sweating the availability of new or used parts after warranty expires.
