I'd bet there isn't a single good part left on that car, it looks like even the Evolution badge is gone.

ah thats what you think... youd be surprised how much money there still is in there. evo parts sell like crazy and pretty much everything sells. if it were closer id be all over it.

billy, the auction says "to be determined" for auction date. so give it a couple days and ill let you know when the "determine".

Paying your tickets, and thinking they are paid, then getting pulled over for no front plate, and get your LIC# ran and finding out your driving on a suspended license and getting arrested is wonderful!

Need a criminal/traffic attorney, please PM if you know of a great one. Thanks.

We've been keeping score on her at work and she's getting less and less effective in certain parts of king county. Guess the judges are just getting tired of her getting people off

Is it legal to just have your plate in the front window?

RCW 46.16.240
Attachment of plates to vehicles — Violations enumerated.

The vehicle license number plates shall be attached conspicuously at the front and rear of each vehicle for which the same are issued and in such a manner that they can be plainly seen and read at all times. However, if only one license number plate is legally issued for any vehicle such plate shall be conspicuously attached to the rear of such vehicle. Each vehicle license number plate shall be placed or hung in a horizontal position at a distance of not more than four feet from the ground and shall be kept clean so as to be plainly seen and read at all times. In cases where the body construction of the vehicle is such that compliance with this section is impossible, permission to deviate therefrom may be granted by the state patrol. It shall be unlawful to display upon the front or rear of any vehicle, vehicle license number plate or plates other than those furnished by the director for such vehicle or to display upon any vehicle any vehicle license number plate or plates which have been in any manner changed, altered, disfigured or have become illegible. License plate frames may be used on vehicle license number plates only if the frames do not obscure license tabs or identifying letters or numbers on the plates and the plates can be plainly seen and read at all times. It is unlawful to use any holders, frames, or any materials that in any manner change, alter, or make the vehicle license number plates illegible. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any vehicle unless there shall be displayed thereon valid vehicle license number plates attached as herein provided.

I take it you don't have the original mounting bracket?

No I've been ticketed for no front plate when it was in my windshield. I see someone posted the RCW, and it does clearly define where the front plate needs to be installed.

It's a long shot, but my defense will be that there is no clear place to mount the front plate. The car did not come from the factory with an installed mounting bracket (My plate nor the plate holder was mounted when I bought my car) and the entire front surface area of the car is an intake. (yeah yeah, I know there's no tranny cooler on the 5 speeds, but it does a little bit of kinetic cooling.) A DeLorean is the only car that I know of personally in Washington State that is exempt of the law for not having a factory location to mount the plate. The owners of the DeLoreans actually were mailed certificates from the State of Washington saying the car has exempt status.

Driving a g35 i have learned one thing. If you are 50 you will not get pulled over for no front plate. Porsche drivers never have this issue. So when ever i see a cop all i have to do is roll up the window. All evo owners are pretty much screwed
