Yep, Used that exact one step by step, torque step by step! I also have 12lbs anti-lag off the line also, so who knows really what happened. If it was the clutch exploding, then I will not buy another one and I will tell everyone in my town also to stay away from them. I sent ACT a email, and also a sales rep on here about the problem and no response!!! I am very dissappointed so I will go to the track Friday and Kill the rest of it! Then on to a twin disc. and possibly a new motor, tranny, who knows. Maybe I'll try for the first 9 sec Evo in Spokane.

I remember reading something awhile back about them breaking springs on their pressure plate. Not sure if that would be the case. There is also a retaining clip in there that can break that can cause issues. It happens with Exedy alot, that could be a possible with the ACT. Mostly I have just heard of ACT being prone to lockout problems which is usually an adjustment problem. Hopefully it turns out to be something simple.

Edit: After rereading your other posts it sounds like it could be a hydraulic issue or flywheel issue. Can you hear anything like bouncing around in your tranny? Any metallic noise like a spring came loose? Could be as simple as needing to re-bleed your clutch or modify the slave cylinder shaft for more actuation. What flywheel did you use? If the stocker was improperly machined that can cause your symptoms to happen.

RusselM at MitsubishiParts.net He is about the best you can get for service. He is a vendor on here.

As far as seats go you are better off finding a set used. You will fall off your seat when you find out how much OEM recaro's go for new.

I hope this isn't against the rules for this chat thread, but does anyone know of a decent place to get a Chevy truck serviced? I have a 98 Chevy S10 that we inherited from my wife's grandpa when he passed away and it keeps having weird niggling issues. The Chevy dealership I go to for normal service reminds me of those old service stop stories from Route 66 (basically scheisters looking to make a buck however they can).

I tried the S10 forums but those are in pretty bad shape without much easily found info for locals, unless I was looking to slam the truck on some air bags. Any help is much appreciated, and apologies in advance mods if I shouldn't be posting this here.

Not really, I'm happy with my moderate power I have right now. 330 AWHP is good enough for me.

Basic Bolt-Ons and a decent tune.

I'm not going to do anything major until I get this damn thing paid off. LOL.

I'm sorry, but can you define the word: "niggling"? LOL.

LOL - the definition is trivial, small, etc. I guess without knowing that word it could look rather interesting!

The truck was not maintained the best by her grandparents, and it was in Reno (hot summers, frigid winters, lots of dust). Also, any maintenance done down there was done incorrectly or not at all so one thing after another has issues.

Right now there is a small leak somewhere that I can't track down (it only leaks after I drive it), meanwhile all fluid levels appear to be fine. I am 99% sure it is coolant but I haven't personally seen this color of coolant (orange). The Chevy dealer couldn't find it and said they used dye (I am hoping this is dyed coolant); otherwise I'm hoping the radiator isn't rusted to crap.

could be a spring... there is a lot of vibration after 4500rpm.

GM has dextron coolant which is orange. Is it an auto? Check the transmission coolant lines...they tend to leak.
