UPDATE MOTOR REMOVAL Just a minor update for everyone on the progress of the car. I've finally just about pulled everything necessary to remove the Motor. Began the day with first building my engine stand that came in last night so i can hold the motor. Then began the clutch removal and with the trans out that took no time at all. Then was onto detaching all the wiring and engine harness to the motor. Meanwhile helping bleed brakes and installing a new mater cylinder with a friend as i worked on my car. Then i went to work with labeling. I am a neat freak when it comes to working on my car and every bolt is put it a zip lock bag with the bolt written down, size, and torque spec and then i went ahead and labeled every part of the engine harness to help with reinstall and pulling the harness apart to save weight. Last but not least i hooked up the hoist to the motor and tomorrow morning will pull the motor out, put it on the stand and then separate it into valve cover, head, block, and oil pan for its trip along with my trans to DynoTech This weekend for some head porting, and trans build, etc.! Enjoy more updates tomorrow!

whats the plans for the motor?

Also, are you considering going with the FP 84mm cover for the turbo?

Motor is getting the head ported, cams, L19s, and some other stuff. Still stock block though! And no the FP 84 cover. Not stock turbo then. And it wont allow a filter to fit for street driving.

just curious, but why would you not be able to run a filter? It would be the same intake stock frame's run.

I think the cover would still make it a stock turbo unless you mean stock as completely un modified (ie stock WG, stock port)

I could run the 84mm cover but decided against it at the time due to money. sorry for the confusion. I blanked when i wrote the last response. Everyone has a brainfart every now and then lol. But yes a filter will fit on the 84mm Cover on a stock appearing turbo with Collins Stock Frame FF Manifold. I can even put a pic of it up for you later. More updates Soon!
